Do your search, See how much do you get a ekWagon for, 2007+, The duty kharcha is around 250,000-300,000 depending on how old the car is. add 250-300k, In the price you find the ekwagon in Japan add another 100,000 in the price for transportation.

So if you find a car for around $3000, That makes around Price (p) 300,000+ Duty clearence etc (D) 300,000 + Shipment/Insurance (S) 100000/130000

Add: P+D+S = Aproxx 700,000, You can find a ekwagon in market easily for 645,000-680,000 minimum.

Its not as easy as 1,2,3, dealers bring in 10-20 cars they buy bulk, They have sources in Japan that they would never leak out to you. Online car prices are very high for someone planning to invest, You need to do more maths before you actualy start car business.

On the same websites where they know you can import only 5 years old cars Cars are priced around $5000-8000, the car older then 5 years old are prices less then $2000

stupid is really not used for professional.... for me may be but being stupid and see the local manufacturer crying !!!,,,,ur in huston i guess... u will not fine zero meter alto on road these yes there might be few but people who has 8 lac buy jap car, so there is scope .
there is auction sheet available that can tell me car condition plus agent will work in japan in finding rattling stuff etc... he is paid for that

I have seen some really odd cars come into Pakistan and I can classify them and its whole process including auction sheet as "mentally challenged" (happy now) - A premio rolled into my shop - the issue was seriously stiff shifts from the autobox. The car was very promising from the auction sheet and it looked quite pretty too. The trans fluid was clean too - the fluid temperature was ok too.

As usual the first checks are with "bijli ke aaley" (electricky tools), everything was ok - no dead solenoid and all wiring intact. (dollar marker made continuity testers zindabad) - I raise the car to find the trans oil pan and see it has a sticker on it with a toyota part no. (hmm pretty nice car - the sticker has not even worn off) - I remove the pan to be greeted by a bent filter- it literally had enveloped into itself. and some oil lines were bent too - in a shape as if the car was ramped on a curb or lifted from the pan.

THAT EXPLAINED THE NEW STICKER ON THE PAN. It was a perfect "hide with mud job" - the "importer" dropped the "Holy Japanese" belief that day.

well some of u are true.
dealers buying in bulk tgats why they can earn, but if register my self through proxy in japan auction houses i can bid depending on my range .... the problem is the agent asking 140000 yen including everything shipment and other internal transport etc. 140000 yen includes 65000 yen of shipment of small car that is acceptable to me but other 85000 yen is much .
what is trying to find is to get a cheap agent.. this help i need.
Auction house does not give u discount if u buy one car or 10!!

Which tip i like for your business is that try to start your business with local small cars. Like mehran, santro, coure, alto. Insha Allah expand it after getting experience.

I started ths aswell n my first shipment cost me arund 44lac. 1Axio...2 probox....1alto.
Nw bro when the carz r in pakistan n i calculated the actual cost of carzzz they cost me more than tha market price.
After blocking the money fr arund 3-4 months.
Nw i m planning to sell them at the price wat they cost me.
Bro as long as u dnt find a gud reliable person in japan..ths businesss is useles.
Never ever send ur money to any xyz in japan.

i do have experience of local car not as business but for myself and fnf. dont want to become broker
most of broker cheat.... i will honest in this business in all sense.

Try buying BLs first , there is a good amount of saving on that plus your money is held up for a shorter period. It's Pakistan and nothing is as simple, a couple of months ago a friend's Toyota wish got stuck at the port due to some problems with the passport, trust me its not easy to wait for months to clear up a 1.5-1.8 million inventory.

Review your decision before taking risk on your money. The best way to go at this age is to start a business with lesser money involved. Something like brokerage. The best way to learn about this stuff is to let the knowledge come to you naturally.

Bidding urself or buyng frm online auctin...i thnk ths is impossible fr just 1 car.
Bro my suggestion is if u really wana do this business go to a gud reliable dealer( banday da putar nt khothay da putar) in ur city tell him the car which u want to import. Make/model/condition n finaliz the price of car upto karachi,,Obviously his comission aswell.
Clearing car frm karachi is nt a big deal.
U can find a gud clearing agent here on pakwheels.
Ths way u gona make less profit,,,,but ths is the only way to learn n make contacts in japan n karachi.

bro what people here are trying to suggest you is that
1) dont think that car which you would be importing in 5-6 lac 660cc would hardly give you 30-40k profit that too depending on condition and your links.
2) bikne ko apki gari aik din mein b bik sakti hai aur na bikne ko not even in 2 months ...2 months cash block kr skte ho??
3) once you get car from there you only get to know outer situation not inside,mechanically..90 % of 660cc car which come have ac and different things issue...do you have money to get them fixed?

p.s in my family and freinds many are doing business but minimum of 15-50 lacs but with partnership with dealer ..bcs for doing your own you need arounds 10 lacs just to get registered

1)im changing my mood towards 1000cc car..
2) even if car not sold in 2 months no problem ,, i would be using the car in 2 months. plus have space at home to park.

as far i know car is insurance by shipment company...
yes im student too but night not be reach like u , i dont why people here thinking im poor. if i mention i need money for education doesnt means my parents cant afford my education..... it just i wanna abroad after saving to foreign uni for MBA....these days students abroad facing difficuilties.... dont want that thats why planning now,,
and its lac not lacs, althought lac not english word but people use her ,, so use lac,,,,, dont mind brother
