I actually own an Inspiron with an i3 and believe you me it PALES in comparison with this. Sure for the average user with the average needs with mainstream requirements and sub-par taste, any other laptop with a Core 2 duo 2.0 would do but when you want the absolute CREAM, top-of-the-line performance in a perfect package that would last you forever, you'd get something like the Studio XPS.
The warranty on the dv4 may look catchy but try claiming one in Pakistan and you'll know. You'll be going in circles before you realize you'd be made to spend to get a laptop that was SUPPOSEDLY under warranty fixed. Why not get something high-end, tried-and-tested instead?
But all that aside, its the little things that matter. Its the ability to type in the dark with the backlit keyboard, its the feel of the leather on the back, its the intriguing looks you get when working in a cafe, the quietness of the keyboard, the sophisticated elegance of the slot-loading drive, the portability of the 13.3" lightweight design, the ability to check your battery without powering the machine on, signing in without touching the keyboard with facial recognition, that make you appreciate your product day-in day-out.
To top it all, premium product = premium Quality. HPs aren't doing wonders in their reliability rates these days.
You're looking at it wrong, when you're out in the market to get something for Rs. 65,000, you don't look at the general line of new laptops but instead look for laptops that started life as Rs. 120,000 machines that are now available for Rs. 65,000. Now THAT would be a steal.
And BEST OF ALL, I said I was open to offers. Feel free to hit me with one. =)
