the problem with winisd or basspro is tht they try to keep a very flat response for spl. u cannot use to flat response otherwise only certqain bass will sound good while the other bass notes will be next to none. and it tries to ONLY set the port according to the calculations. but in real life , u need a certain amount of port volume to make it sound right. i cannot remember the amount right now......
let me give u a good expample.
1) using a 1 cubicfoot box tuned to 30 hz ........ suppose basspro tell u use 3" x 6" port.
2) using a 2 cubicfoot boxtuned to 30 hz ....... suppose basspro tells u use 3" x 3" port.
now according to the basspro ,both boxes should sound fine. but in reasl life , the 2 cubicfoot will sound much better. so not everything is right in basspro.
