The feeler gauge stacks I have with me here are the same ones I bought in Pakistan - cost me Rs 400/- about 12 years ago - they are litearlly 1 inch thick full of blades. It was made in China - but its accuracy is very good. (checked in a lab too)
In tools I never recommend to buy junk, why? firstly it can cause serious injury. Secondly it can cause heavy monetary damage to the machinery being worked on.
First make a priority list of what you will do as diy.
make sure to clean and take care of your tools every time you use them, I open up and clean/grease my ratchets too every 6 months
and as saad put here above my post - Elora are very good tools for the money. Not pretty to look at like snap on/matco (or any american) but are strong are brutes - so strong that you just tell the nut/bolt that Im going to use an elora tool on you and it will give up its fight.
with snap on/matco/proto - you just show it the tool and it will unscrew itself.
