Suggestions required regarding Water Heater (gyser)

Thanks Salman. Actually i want to avoid storage geysers because they are not efficient. You need to heat up 25 gallons even if you need less.
I just bought instagas instant gyser 10 litter (Consumes 0.7kg LPG per hour ) today. I'll connect it with one bath. I'v also ordered super asia 30 litter electric gyser(with remote, consumes 2000W) today from online shop. That will be connected with 2 washrooms which are one above other.
Running cast of lpg and electric are almost same. I'll mainly use electric one due to hassle of refilling lpg and other one will be used in absence of electricity.

bro good luck for your purchase but now a days gyser are coming with conical baffel and bro they are efficient as hell and also heavy duty but the instant ones are good too but bro they dont have long life

Have you done homework on solar geysers? Are they any good?

I think they are good only when you have sunlight. They can't provide you hot water in morning and evening and when sunshine is not available.

Thanks salman for your valuable suggestion. Conical baffle helps to fully utilize heat generated by burner but the point is why to heat up 25g when requirement is less. Suppose you need only 1 gallon water at 40 centigrade for wudu or some other need then you have to heat up 25 gallon to 40 centigrade and start the geyser 30 min before which is simply wastage of resources. conventional geysers are good when demand is high and natural gas is available. they can be further optimised by electronic geyser control device.I hope you got my point.

The best option ( in Lahore) is a storage gyser with dual source. if the electricity is not available it runs on gas and in case of gas loadshedding it works on electricity. Avoid conical baffle as it will destroy your gyser in few days.

I think the best option among instant is gas one with lpg jets. Get a big one and connect it to your house. Get two LPG cylinders so you always have one in backup. This way you have uninterrupted hot water supply. If sui gas pressure is good in your area then regular instant geyser would also do just fine.

One month ago i have purchased Lpg instant geyser 8lit cap for 7000/- simple China made with LCD display.
I purchased 3 kg cylinder for 750/- local made.
Once filled 3 kg gas, being 5 family members, used for bathing and wazu etc, it lasted one month easily.
Cost of gas is Rs. 100/- for one Kg.
Our water tank is simple blue color plastic tank and placed on 2nd floor.
We easily use it for direct shower.
Best result. 100% satisfied.

Fitting geyser Inside bathroom can be hazardous. If no other option than make sure bathroom is properly ventilated.

I end up buying 2 geysers.
1: supper Asia 30 letter electric semi instant 2000W(11650 including delivery from online shop) . Build quality is excellent, exceeds my expectations. It has remote control as well(remote range is not good doors topically in daylight ) and you can set temperature of water up to 70. display shows current water temperature . It takes less than 10 minutes to increase water temperature from 24 to 40. Connected it with two baths which are one above other.
2nd one is instagas geyser (LPG) 10 litter connected with one bath (Rs. 9k) . So far used it twice and satisfied with performance. According to manual, it takes 0.7kg gas per hour.
Both are new so cant comment about durability but I'm satisfied with my purchase so far

Yes. As per my findings, they are semi instant. Truly instant electric geyser will take about 4000 watt and you'll need compatible wiring for that.

If you're planning to get an instant geyser, keep in mind that the market is flooded with Chinese ones with random names such as Pioneer, General, National, etc. Every shop will have different fake brands so you cannot compare prices between shops. I picked up a super asia 6L one for Rs. 6,800 for one bathroom. Salesmen will try to dissuade you from super asia products because they have to sell them at a fixed price with low markups.

@umans came across this post as looking for options in an area with no gas.

1. How is your 30 liters electric geyser doing? Can you take a full shower with it in winters (using mixer of shower), or it starts throwing cold water within 3-4 minutes? I was looking for a 30 liters electric, but people say hot water only lasts 3-4 minutes as cold water gets fed into geyser when you start taking out hot water...

Secondly do you keep it always ON - roughly how many units in a month it consumes?

• About instant gas geyser, looking at 10 or 12 liter ones -- can you connect it to sink tap as well as shower and take one with the mixer (hot n cold water mixed)? Will use a cylinder with it hopefully will last one month at least.

I have a 100 litre canon. It takes 600-700 units a month. It doesn't last long.

Instant gas geyser is better option. You can have as many taps running if the water pressure is good.

@centos thanks mostly worried about hot water not lasting specially when taking a shower.. and 30 liters sound quite a bit less.

I'm still using and stratified with its performance. I set it on 45C, it takes around 10 minutes to reach that temp from 28C. 30L water at 45C is enough for one person's bath without mixing cold water. You can set at higher temp upto 80C as per your need. I prefer 45C as no need of mixing and its less likly to damage PPRC green pipes.
I'm using wifi breaker with it to turn it on at predefined schedule or need based, not always on.
I have instant LPG water heater as backup, not recommend as there is no control over temperature, it can effect the PPRC pipe joints and running cost is also more than the electric one.

@umans thanks, but doesn’t the cold water get fed into geyser when you start consuming the water that is at 45c?

Or do you turn off the cold water intake into the geyser when taking shower?

Lastly can you use a mixer with lpg instant geyser when doing its fitting.

No, it is installed outside and no manual intervention with cold water intake. there is no sudden drop in temperature

Instant gas geysers have gas regulators so you can control the temperature. Also you can control the gas flow with the valve and that too regulates the temperature. We increase the gas flow in winter and decrease to minimum in summer.
