Thisi is very intresting thread 4 mehran fans ,but i would like to share some thing that battery size (ampere) do not make any diffrence it is important only when ur self starter in action and the ignition coil have nothing to do with the ampere at the most .however the correct voltage instead of current is important at the time of starting. and new battery is more inportant than the old bigger one.
Normally the point based starting system deploys 12V at the starting time and the voltage drops to 8.2V when engine starts running(due to presence of resistor). and orignal mehran genertor is designed for battery in the amp range of 24-30 amps. however paksuzuki uses a bigger amp battery due to starting on CNG.
And guys one thing please keep in mind that the generator consumes almost 3 to 4 BHP if below 35 amp and if u go 4 a bigger generator then the drag also increases.
i recomend that if u really want the maximun from your mehran you should not go above 155/65/12 tyres,lower suspension, Brake booster of Japanese alto or coure,Free flow exhaust, bigger jets in carb, Charging on off manual switch that cut off your charging when you need extreme pick up and can utilize the BHP of the generator also in this way (but donot forget to on the charging when you are on normal mode driving ) and air and fuel mixture have certain requirements that need air in some exact ratio ..any how best whishes 4 your mehran.
