I am not sure about that. Probably won't help if it is too much clogged.

It is usually recommended to not drive cars for short distances because the cat won't reach the desired temperatures. It makes it more likely to get clogged.

So it is better to prevent clogging than to repair it.

There is a thing called italian tune-up. (google for more info)
You basically run a warmed up car at high rpm (~4000+) for 10-15 minutes, often reaching the redline.
It is supposed to clean the carbon deposits in the combustion chamber and the exhaust system.
Try to do it around the time you do an oil change.

dont waste that much money

remove the cat ...but 2 bottles of battery acid .. used proper gloves and put them in cat... keep both end of pipes closed with help any shopping paper ..and let it be in there for 3 mints

remove it and everything inside will be out .......

all this wont cost more then 300 rupees including labour

wash it before fitting back and avoid direct contact with acid ........... have done it on many cars and it works great ...

i own suzuki alto 660cc japanese {nissan pino} model 2009,import 2012 with abs
getting 11km /litre
already done the following tasks fr improvement
1, changed the transmission ATF oil
2, Changed the eingine oil
3. change the oil filter
4, clesn the sparking plugs
5. clean the air filter
6, clean the catalytic converter,exhaust body with acid
7, computer callibration twice

stil the same results 11km/l

can anyone help plz/

Dear fellows,

I have recently purchased a Japanese Alto 2015 model, AT.
But if I drive it with AC on then it feels jerky on low gears, especially when car is changing gears.

Is it normal with Alto?

I removed catalytic convertor feom my car (the honey comb material insode the exhaust) it produced noise so i installed a simple denoiser or what is called dholji and it was completely silenced.
No need of cat btw..
