Got the tank full from Chakri , Set the ODO to ZERO and started my travel to Lahore @ 100 -105km/hr throughout. Today morning i refueled the car. Car was driven 354.4 Kms and fuel refilled to the MAX point i.e where i can see the petrol floating was 20.84 Liters....
Now when we divide 354.5 by 20.83 = 17.00km/l.
There was around 40KG luggage in car alongwith me / my wife / my 2 kids. [/INDENT]
Salamz bought a manual jdm alto but its abs doesn't kick in n da tires get locked , do these cars have abs ? Any 1 else facing the same prob ?
Question for JDM Alto owners; Can you guys find genuine parts of Alto in Lahore? Parts like Plugs, Brake Pads, Fuel Filter, Oil Filter, Water Body, Clutch Plate, Flywheel, Front and back lights and suspension parts (Shocks etc)???

Yes! Got Brake Pads / Plugs / Oil Filter and Fuel Filter / wheel bearings from Montgomery road.Windscreens also available... Rest havent searched market for WaterBody / shocks etc.. I am sure these would also be available.

i have a JDM Alto 660cc with 3 Fwd gear auto transmission. I was wondering if it was possible to change it with a 5 fwd gear transmission as i have heard JDM alto auto trannys are available for less than Rs 4000. Please tell what effect would it have on the car and should i do it?

That device would be ETC (Electronic Toll Collector) just like e-TAG used here in Pak. Yes you can remove it, No Issues. CNG can be installed. but 16km/l is already pretty good average..
You wont find 5Fwd auto tranny,, They max you can get is a 4 Fwd tranny and that too of Nissan PINO.. But remember that you would have to get your wiring and ECU changed to the 4 A/T one. I had also planned for the same but later decided that its not worth to spend soo much for getting a 4 Fwd A/T instead of 3 Fwd A/T.. Anyways if you have more travel on speeds higher than 100KM/hr, only then go for the tranny change. Otherwise 3 AT is alrite for speeds like 80 - 90.
yes u can swap with 5 forward gear box...... but these r not that cheap either

Only G2 version comes with ABS ..... not all alto comes with ABS

I know 1 PW member from Lahore, who has a manual trans like you. But he is also getting mileage inbetween 14 - 15KM/l..
hi guys....just wanted to ask/clarify whether the red light in the instrument cluster blink when the immobilizer is activated. if it is supposed to, and it doesnt, what does it mean ? does it mean the immobilizer is not working OR does it mean it is deactivated ? and is there any way it can be made functional again? and lastly....if the immobilizer is activated, how should the car behave ? i mean, is it not supposed to even turn on with its own original key without unlocking the car with the button ? help please @rozzzzjust gathering more info for mine and ur sake both please dont mind
