bhai jan alto which i have is only 30k driven so no need of swap till now its hardly 3 years old
but my friends had done it in their daily running cars
and no need for 3s as 3s pa sa pohye gi
a good mechnic who knows will do it and main thing is wiring if that is done right then ur new alto reborn will be a charm to drive i mean all sensors connected etc
total expence adjusting ur old engine will be around 50k to 60k

I have also Asked about Engine Swap...Would it be feasable to swap Alto?s Traditional Carby engine to some Kei Series engine..

Yea eKdrifter Brother has already Mentioned to get Maximum from Carby engine to my previous posts like change of spark plugs ..No Alloys..Oil and Air Filter types....and Wires......

TBH i never ever recomend any one for swaps ..8/10 swaps go wrong and at the end people get nothing nd just headache + car losses money if sold with swapped engine .

No matter if Alto's engine is old or carby and it is powerfull as hell if tuned properly and slightly moded + for fuel economy in practical world nothing goes above 12-14 km/l with in city (except hybrids) and many pakwheelers are getting such economy from pkdm alto so in there is no point in swap....

Swaps are only gud if u had some 70-80's or more old car whose engine parts arn't available ....say no to swap and u ill keep ur self away from alot of stress

Bro my alto's fuel average is worst. its giving 10km/litre. I have read your post regarding mehran jet in alto. i just want to know that whether jet can be changed without opening carbuerator?????

A skilled mech will only take 1hour or so
Carb half khulla ga not full
And it is low speed jet which is like a leaky tap

@arif... k6A is 660cc comes with manual & AT. i have installed AT engine with OD. gives me 12-13/l in city. if u intend to drive normally then its gud, i recommend manual. if u r a speedster then its under power.

G15a is baleno engine. nice power & gud feul efficient.
K10 is 1000cc, rare to find and also parts aswell.

All the Alto owners who are going for a swap, I have a few recommendations. I have a 2006 Alto VXR and as everyone knows it has poor fuel average (petrol only)
I have been doing R&D for around a year now as I wanted to get my car's engine swapped.

1. If you are going for a 660 cc efi get a K6 Turbo as the simple one is a little under power. Also go for the manual one and change the axles along, don't alter the 1000cc ones.

2. K10a or K10b would be quite difficult to get plus don't go for them as there parts would not be easily available.

3. G15a is a very good option as my friend here EK drifter emphasizes, he has explained that one in quite detail so I don't need to get into that but for me that engine is old and if you are going for a swap go for a new one plus you have to change a lot of things for that swap

4. M13a can be installed (at least that is what I have heard) it would be expensive but if you have the case then go for it, light weight engine, new technology, fast infact very fast plus fuel efficient (it is the same engine that comes in the new swift)

5. Lastly two hacks are possible that would be quite cheap, you can get an Efi kit installed instead of your carb and it may cost you around 15-20k or you can get the F6a's carb installed in your car, performance will get affected but fuel economy would improve plus it is the cheapest way, might cost your around 6-10k.

In my opinion swap is not a good thing for these PKDMs specially Suzuki plus the mechanics here mostly don't know ****. If you can then sell your Alto and buy a Cultus it will have a better fuel economy. I personally love Alto, its a sexy little car with curves and power but it will just kill you while driving on petrol.

With my old engine return it ll cost me 30k for everything.including labor oil etc.
I personaly like AT. If u instal manual transmission may be tht ll b more feul efficient. Avg i got is 12k/l local n 17 to 18 on long wd out ac.did frm mithu khan sadar

Guys i think Swap will not be feasible . Biying Old Vitz are not good option as you may rarely find a clean well maintained 99-2004 vitz in Pakistan....I think what eKdrfter bhai has suggested for maintaining ur Alto will not only give you average but also it will improves your performance......Alto is a Beautiful Sober small Car with Power

Just back from shoba installed eps in alto and results are staggering
And engines saw an alto being alterd to make room for m13a guy wanted to racr some one
Any ways back to eps
Thing till now it has malai steering
And car feels more stable then before . On road it is not wobbaly at all makrs a good grip
Steering is just like a corolla thy wired in the speed sensors from speedo and other wirings
And now the cost 3000 rs for eps and 1000 for installation
And yeah charges are high but it is well worth installing it in ur alto
That wobblay feel goes away from alto

well i had thought 5500 might be enough but from searching market found many shops
that is what i do i check whole market
it was cheaper then i thought 4k whole but yakeen kat gari ki feel he badal jati hai
