Your actual payment is reflected in the registration SMS recieved from the excise dept

My dealership told me to make a Pay Order on the name of excise dept. This Pay Order amount is same as what requird by Govt for my car and excise dept sent the sms confirmation for the same amount. I was issued the invoice for the same amount as well from the excise dept.

For the service charges they chared me 4500, which includes end to end, submision of docs to excise, collection of return file, collection of number plates once available.

4K is relatively acceptable.

My dealership quoted me 22K for registration at the time of booking, so I would effectively end up paying 3K as commission while taking delivery in October, but dealership asked me to forcibly get tracker, costing 20K, installed from them, which meant dealership would earn their remaining commission from the tracker itself to extend their total commission from 3K to maybe 7K.

I didn't debate with them much, since they were the only dealership, which accepted Alto VXL AGS booking at that moment, and I was also in dire need of a car.

These dealerships know very well how to mint cash from public using one way or another, irony!!

ok update.

took the car and parked it in office on friday. Haven't taken it home as yet.

registration was Rs.19,260, i gave mandviwalla 26k, they returned Rs 3200. so about rs 3500 was agent commission. perfectly fine with it. saved me a trip to civic center in extremely hot temperature.

other than that i got the jumbo package. and rear camera. dealership confirmed this is plug and play camera. and no wire was cut as cutting wires will void warranty.

Bro, my meagre knowledge suggests that the dealer must have cut a wire of the rear bumper light to give power supply to the rear camera, so a wire has to be cut in order to install the rear camera. Correct me if I am wrong?

dealer said, the wire was taken off the reverse switch. i will check this in detail when i get the car home.

car top cover (very low quality)

it was about 6700.... now that i think of it, not really value for money..

charged obviously. 6700 for the package, 5000 for the camera.

thinking about under coat, but account is zero right now... they are giving 3M under coat for about 12k.

I was given cotton dark grey seat covers with suzuki embroidered on front seats, good quality floor mats and mud flaps as compliment. They have not offered any camera and clearly mention that warranty will be void if camera is installed.

So it is obvious that which dealer shares how much profit with their customers in terms of the cosmetic goodies, depends on dealer to dealer.

My dealership was Carachi and as my car was delivered in less than a month so I also brought them a thank you cake when taking delivery.
