Received our Alto VXR on last Saturday alhumdulillah. Drive is smooth and comfortable. Only issue I've observed is the stiff gear changes. New manual transmission should provide crisp and smooth gear changes. A long time back , I had read some users reporting this similar issue on this thread and it was resolved by changing the transmission oil. If that is indeed the case, then which is correct oil for this transmission?

I am facing the same issue. Although clutch is generally soft however there is friction in gear change especially in 1st, 2nd and reverse gear. I am waiting for initial 1000 km service to check its transmission oil and clutch cable adjustment. However few members have intimated similar issues in their alto as well which means that stiff gear change problem is being faced in most altos.

However i agree with you that said issue should not be present in new car...

Does anyone knows if Pak Suzuki is now pouring correct engine oil (75w-90) in Alto VXR from assembly line or not? I think most probably not, but what should be done about it when receiving delivery of new car from dealership?

The only thing that you can check is level of gear oil at the time of inspection. It will be difficult to check the viscosity of gear oil.

usually there is a comment in letter from pak suzuki that the price increase wont be applicable on those who booked with full amount before the date of price change.so i guess the people who already got confirmed booking # wont be affected

Dollar 168 to 175 , around 4 percent increase.

And inceease in prices is around 14.5 percent , imagine if the prices included same 17 percent sales tax and and other taxes that were removed.

awam k paas bohat paisa hai bhaaion - inn prices per bhi awam 1-2lac own dene ko tayyar hongi for early delivery - i feel sorry for Picanto now - it have crossed 2.2m now and it is also a fuel guzzler like Swift - bad of both worlds
