Yes, registration and invoice date has no value even if it is 2022.
It will count 2021 if it is manufactured in 2021. Engine number and chassis number also reveals such information about exact month and year of manufacturing

Per bhai excise walay tou physicaly gari check he nahi kerte han. Un ko kya pata gari k upr kya likha huwa ha. I bought a Gli and invoice mentioned model as 2020 but mentioned that vehicle is manufactured in 2019 so excise treated it as 2019 so manufacture year is taken as Model even if manufacturer mentions it as 2020. So @kjohn_18 please be happy that you didn't have to pay extra amount for getting vehicle.

i believe your car is giving you pretty bad fuel average inside karachi. why so? heavy foot driving style?

sort of yes, i do have a heavy foot, car is driven for the most part with 3-4 people.

i expect the mileage to increase after 1st oil change.. car is about 4400 km now

mine is giving 14 as well. But i have heavy foot and mostly driven in clifton area. no long route.

See here...Car model has no link with date of registration or date of invoice. Ap ne ghalat suna hay or 99% Log dhoka esey he detey hain k Ap ko model woh btatey Hain jab car registered karwatey Hain.....
Model is counted from the date of Manufacturing.

I have experienced such issue happened with me
around 25 years ago...Recently my employee also faced similar issue because he always quoted and told that his model is January 2014 as he registered on 17 January 2014 but at the time of selling, another party cancelled the agreement and demanded Advance back as car model was found to be 2013 (Year of manufacturing). At that time, it was also directed to him to write 2013/14 in such cases that means car is manufactured in 2013 (Model 2013) but registered in 2014.
You can see following of this ethics clearly (by Honest people) in car advertisements published in Jang or Dawn or other newspapers

Probably Suzuki Japan uses better oil. PKDM uses rebranded substandard TOTAL oil. Same goes for PKDM Honda as well.

The oil standards [APi] are same for Pakistan and japan as well

I agree. But do you think a 10w-30 cannister sold by Total Pakistan costing Rs. 3600/- and same grade costing Rs. 7000+ by Liquimoly will be same?

Similary all API SN and SM oils will not be same. Applies to other grades too.

The dealership did call me to tell about the FED but they said they didnt require immediate payment. Payment on day of delivery i guess. TDD was 21st of January but still no clue about when the vehicle will be delivered.

This Suzuki Alto 660cc was taken on a road trip from Islamabad to interior Sindh and back which is almost 3000 km trip. The vehicle was full of dirt and bugs. The vehicle was fully protected before starting the trip. Paint, plastic, glass, tires, everything was protected, so the cleaning process after the trip could be easy which you can see in the video.

Brother oil grades are for viscosity only. the manufacture has own cost of production and different factors which contribute to the price difference.
