We will need to understand the production process at Suzuki Pakistan. The common perception is that if we will place an order with Suzuki, then they will assemble a vehicle for us. But it isn’t like that!
Suzuki has a fixed schedule of production of vehicles throughout a month. Let’s split a month into four weeks and five working days of each week.
1st Week
Alto
2nd Week
Wagon & Bolan
3rd Week
Cultus
4th Week
Swift & Ravi
Suzuki will assemble Alto during the first week. Wagon & Bolan during the second week, followed by Cultus during the 3rd week, Swift & Ravi during the 4th or last week of a month.
Suzuki will just assemble these all cars in the routine colors i.e. white, silver, grey, etc. unless they have a batch of cars booked in a non-routine color i.e. black, maroon, sand beige, blue, etc. A batch may consist of a minimum of 70 – 100 cars.
So if you have booked a black color car with a tentative delivery period of 2 months but Suzuki didn’t get enough orders of a black color car of the same model during that period, your car will be delayed. Suzuki will provide you an option to choose any other color or wait for an indefinite period for the batch completion.
That is why the dealership will discourage you from booking a black color vehicle as they know that they will have to face the customer in case of any delay.
Once the production of a month is completed, then Suzuki will allocate the cars to the customers through an automated system based on first-come, first-serve.
