its scary for a newer car if you are talking about alto 660cc. however common for older cars surviving with practise of oil / diesel spray on undercarriage and engine bay.
Oil and diesel hardens / decomposes rubber parts and wire insualtions over period of time and with vibrations and other factors the soldering in grips looses it strength and makes the oil switch loose connectivity on bumps n jerks.
However there could be other reasons stemming from weak oil pump, too heavy oil being used, sludge build up in the oil galleries making oil flow difficult or just a simple case of loose wiring wither in the engine bay or to the cluster side.
