BTW, Suzuki Ecstar 75W is back in stock with increased price. I bought it yesterday for 16 thousand and something.
from where did you bought it ?
Stealership
which dealer ship ? in Karachi ?
thanks for your quick response , kindly tell me did you also owned a manual Alto ?
Nope
I usually buy parts from Suzuki Capital Motors, Islamabad or Suzuki Central Motors, Rawalpindi. Both had AGS gear oil out of stock for past 3 or 4 months. It was restocked this month.
Has any one tried to open the black cap on top of the AGS actuator module? What I found below is that the hole has a plastic cockseal making the fluid unserviceable, well atleast from that cap.
It could be opened. Check this video
Fellows, who has completed here trouble free max Kms with AGS ? asking as deciding to purchase one
I suggest you read this post of mine for your concern
i have done nearly 17,000 kms now. will sell it soon as i have got new model now. have had no issues with it at all.
understand that it is a manual car. drive it like a manual car. without the left leg action
Dear brother, Your observation regarding the holding of second gear in clutch is very astute. When my car does this i just press the accelerator more so the car releases the clutch. The car does this to maintain a certain low speed in manual gear but yes it's weird. I noticed in mine too. Driving in manual has its own learning curve too and mistakes are brutal in AGS in manual. It can give bad jerks if the rpm is too high or accelerator is too low etc etc. I only got an auto so i don't have to do the clutch brake and accelerate dance all the time. In my manual gli, the car was very comfortable but the dance got my feet hurting in traffic. So, far the AGS is better than manual in that regard. So far with all the issues Alto has no replacement except japanese counterparts which are a pain to own and maintain due to part prices and repair costs. I just had my 1000km check up yesterday and everything seems fine.
Yes, this is true. Manual mode has its own learning curve, and when used incorrectly, you will face aggressive jerks. I have mastered it just to prevent premature clutch failure. Alhamdulillah, now I drive AGS in manual mode totally jerk free, even better than auto mode.
At least, it's better than pressing the clutch 100 times in traffic.
Yes better than having the clutch at all. Yes you can even get better economy in manual mode as you can change the gears earlier than the car does by itself. i will try to use manual more too. also i am quite impressed with the cars pickup and get go both in ags and manual. It can easily overtake at speeds above 60 or more. goes to 100 like no issues. beyond that i haven't driven it as one cannot go past 100 or max 110 on city roads.
I once took it from Islamabad to Karachi and drove at 120 kph on motorway. I was surprised to see that it was stable. At least much better than Wagon R which I used to own previously. It accelerates to 120 kph easily. I faced no issues.
