Guys here is my take at the test drive and overall impressions of the Pkdm Alto 660cc (drove a VXL AGS variant):
First and foremost do keep in mind that I don’t have much experience of 660cc cars, therefore I mentally de-tuned myself into smaller shoes. Now considering it is one of the smallest budget cars locally assembled it offers very good features specially the VXL having
1. Touch screen (which by the way isn’t that high end product, touch was lagging and it kept switching off itself) I reckon a lot of owners specially buying it as a 2nd car will be changing it.
2. Retractable mirrors
3. ABS
4. Airbags
5. All power windows
6. Keyless entry and alarm
And other features such as power steering. And the driver auto window also goes auto up as well. I think Liana and Swift had auto down only which used to be annoying and I always though why isn’t it auto while going up
Looking at the price of 1295 which will be around 1350 after registration and taxes, its not at all a bad package. The AC, drive and braking etc is upto the mark (again considering its a small engined small budget car) I compared the overall feel with outgoing Mehran which it has replaced. It was a dry June afternoon and the AC didn’t let me sweat at all. Felt okay enough. The material quality and dashboard plastics are fine keeping in mind its from Pak Shitzuki. There were a few panel gaps typical trademark ™️ of all local cars. By the way although it wasn’t designed by PakSuzuki but the rear lights need to be accepted by prospective owners as frequently breakable. So get ready for that expense if you won’t buy insurance.
All in all, its a pretty acceptable deal and where credit is due it must be given to PakSuzuki for introducing this option and going out of the box with their thinking.
Under the Bloombig channel on YouTube have done a shoot as well and will share the link soon once it is ready and uploaded. Its okay for its purpose which is local errand car. Don’t expect it to be powerful
