What seems more rational to me is that the new government aka imran khan is taxing these so much so that the government has money to spend on projects. Everything is getting taxed higher than before same is the case with cars.
He may not be deliberately doing it but due to it suzuki ko faida ho rha hai sab local automakers ko faida ho rha hai

Taking your point further. PTI government wants to promote localization in the manufacturing industry (including auto sector), which in the long run will help the country. But for this to work for auto industry while making the auto market of Pakistan better for consumers, they must wait till the auto market becomes more competitive.
Till then the people of Pakistan should get tax relief on imported cars and the government should tackle these companies like Suzuki and Toyota which are sucking on the hard earned money of the Pakistani people.

No we dont have any one from Suzuki from here but i have insider knowledge that it was supposed to be launched march but then wohi government ki polician change ho rahi hain har haftay so they have decided to wait till end of april - start of may

One of repersentative of suzuki 3s dealership told me that alto will be launched in june, as the were told by company. Let's see

Dear Ahsan difference between vxl and ags is roughly 110000.in india they charge additional 30000 fr ags compared to manual all rest of features b same it means they charge 30000 extra fr tht device.if converted to pak rupees it means paksuzuki should charge us 60000 fr ags variant but they r charging 110000 it means 50000 extra fr ags.and ags technology is new and considered unreliable even in india.hope tht helps.and ags owners plz dont get offended even if price was justifiable i would have opted fr ags as well
