I believe the issue is the AGS actuator system, not the gearbox... how much Does the actuator costs? In lakhs?... Does PS not accept to replace it in warranty?

AGS units are available outside and if car is out of warranty, you can trade with older one in exchange.
This will be cheaper option comparatively

Yes gear oil has been changed regularly, since last time i took the to the mechanics, he cleared the codes, and the car was fine for a week we were even driving it regularly, my father(owner) was fed up with this ags stuff and being unreliable, he said lets sell it or buy picanto or some other car in the same budget, but to sell we have to make sure we dont give any problems to the new owner. My brother took it to an experienced mechanic, he cleared the codes and on our way back home the car did the same thing, and the gear light came on, we took it back and now its in a workshop in gulrez. The mechanic was very good guy and explained what was wrong with the car. Since the gearbox had been replaced by Suzuki Islamabad around 65000km under warranty. At that time only the manual part of the gearbox had been replaced and Ags Unit which shifts the gears of manual transmission was repaired. Now the Problem with car was that the ags unit needs repairing and that its not doing the job its supposed too. The mechanic is a very good guy and even today at 10pm he was giving me updates on what is happening. He said I am trying to find a cheaper solution to this problem since the ags unit is going to repaired for 1.5 lacs. He tried many times to calibrate the gears but the car which sometimes went in gear was now not even going in gear. So he got some kind of Obd scanner which the normal mechanics dont have. He told me tommorow he will try to calibrate gears and try to fix it with the scanner the cheaper option and if that doesnt happen, then Ags unit will be repaired. I’ll keep you guys updated, but the plan for now is to fix the car and sell it for 25 lacs later

Yes Ags/Amt transmission was supposed to be a new innovative technology wich would work like an automatic transmission but provide fuel average like a manual, but it kind of failed in pk but since there are thousands of ags cultuses on the road everyday. Its not long before the people get aware and then suzuki has to provide cheaper transmissions for people or an alternative. The current entire Ags transmission costs around 5.4 lacs these days its very expensive

The actuator ags system costs around 1.5 lacs and pak suzuki might replace it under warranty but sadly my car is not umder warranty now

I saw online ad that AGS units plus complete Transmissions were available with Mr. Zahid (Contact # 0333-2135599)

You can call or whatsapp him at 0333-2135599, I contacted him just now and he told that his workshop is in Faisalabad.

He also repairs the faulty AGS units, also he has facility to send his mechanic or technician to your place for fitting it(Of course, he will charge transportation) or you can also send your car to his workshop for proper diagnosis.

What he told me over conversation that he charges Rs. 30,000 for repairing faulty AGS unit while new one will cost you approximately Rs.150,000 ( I think in exchange with old one; the faulty one)

Hi everyone. I have cultus 2021 model. The issue i am facing since last 1 year is that my car rear left side or wheel makes tak tak sound when passed through bumpy road or on speed breaker. I have visited suzuki workshops but they didn't able to trace the issue. When my car got serviced the sound got vanished for a day but on next day situation is same.

Get checked its ball joint of left arm and Z link rod. Also check silencer by shaking it.
One more thing to check is left shock. Put your weight with hands on front left side and release quickly several time if sounds then its shock

Can some suggest which company and grade engine & transmission oil will suite best for Cultus AGS 2018 80,000km driven?
I just bought one and don't have a user manual.

Ask the previous owner which grade he was using? If dnt know then use 5w30 grade engine oil and 75w transmission oil

Hi everyone! The problem of Ags was fixed by experienced mechanic in islamabad. He himself was honest and after doing service and some stuff the car did the same issue thrice. He took it back no questions asked, found the cheapest option which was repairing the unit for 70000rs other than 1.5 lac option. After repairing car ran fine had 20 day warranty. I sold the car for 26.5 lacs and am now looking for a swift automatic can anyone suggest any cars in this range. Ithink swift is best does it have any known probelms some people might know about i gave token for 2018 swift but what i found wierd was at n and R the car at idle was shivering like gari kampti thi idle pe is it normal for swift or not

Brother ur and mine case is almost the same.i bought cultus 2018 model vxr had to sell tht car because of ac and suspension issues.car only did 20000.than i bought zero meter swift auto in 2019.Alhamdulliah its still with me 66000 plus kms done.only 2 issues i had to face one was wheel bearing and other one was water body going bad at 63000.now coming to shivering part on N and R it is possible tht last owner hasnt done his regular maintainance just inspect the car thoroughly before going for it.overall car is good but when going for a used car u need to make sure tht car is used not Abused

Hi everyone,
I have cultus VXL 2018 and all of a sudden the problem started. I drove car in the morning everything was fine then after started again and it was not moving back, so the reverse gear was not working well.
Drove with 1st or 2dn gear and car pickup becomes like its taking pressure which usually due to clutch or pressure plate, Please note till morning there was no sign of any pickup issue or gear issue
I went to Suzuki motors they said the gear cable has to be changed and clutch n pressure plate also need to be changed (total cost 100K at least) I was in the impression that clutch or pressure plates can not be dead so quickly in 2 hours and we can get some sign of becoming dead. For cable, I can understand.
They said the only cable cost is 25K.
From first purchase, I never go to any street mechanics and car is totally maintained by suzuki dealership so I cannot say any mechanic has done something wrong.
Can someone guide me on what could be the actual cause or besides cable, this could really be a clutch or pressure plate issue .
Tried to purchase a cable from market but it's not available in Karachi, people said this part is not available
I will be needing your guidance
