Avg of cultus auto/ manual is about same. Please review recent posts for multiple owners review about avg in this thread.
In short, I got 14-16 in last summer and 18-22 kml in winters for VXL AGS, in city drive.

Not that I own either a Picanto or Cultus nor do I plan to buy any of the 2, But do share a picture of the whole speedometer during the afternoon as well which Cultus has a standard and probably you didn’t get the point of OPTITRON meters that are coming in high end cars. That optitron was the whole point. This digital display alone you shared has nothing to do with it

When something is better one must admit it. We Pakistani have a tendency to get defensive about what we own. We need to grow out of it. It isn’t necessary to forcefully create a negative point out of something that is a competition to your property.

Optitron or not, odo info in both cars is clearly visible in daytime.

Relax, he meant the optitron meter is a better meter than standard meter of Cultus. What he meant is that Picanto meter is more advanced and premium

Can you please explain what is OPTITRON meter?

Optitron meters are constantly backlit with higher intensity of light even during the day unlike and ordinary meter which only lights up when lights are switched on with normal less bright bulbs and stay non backlit during the day.

In a normal meter even if you switch the lights on during daytime the lights won’t be visible in meter. In simple words optitron meters glow constantly.

To further clarify difference, check local GLi which has a regular meter while Altis has a backlit glowing optitron meter

I’m not sure in which category cultus’ cluster fall but what you just mentioned is exactly how Cultus odo behaves. Above images shared are all with headlight(or parking light) off, and one call clearly see the amount of brightness that is constant.

Its an ordinary meter as the digits are not backlit during the day and the lights behind them only turn on with parking lights.

This is a GLi meter during day and at night with parking lights standard bulbs glow through the writings

In comparison this is an optitron Altis meter from the same model and day or night it constantly glows with higher intensity lights

I hope this gives a better idea

Even current generation XLi/GLi have standard meter while Altis have optitron
