I dont know about Swift,

But Cultus definetly has poor built quality and Wagonr was alot better.

Cultus has a deshaped dashboard from factory, 6/7 months old car has wipers doing CHUN CHUN. Front left has a very weird noise on contraction / compression.

brakes have noise from factory.

First thing was i changed seats of the car with imported scraped ones.

Fuel average is phenomenal, Alhamdulillah. With Alto doing 17/18 kmpl i always thot i had to compromise on power.

From where did you get the seats changed? I find lumbar support of cultus seats very uncomfortable. I am from Lahore.

The Windshield of my Cultus cracked while it was Parked outside on a hot day. Minutely inspected it and there was no sign of vandalism. The Crack started to appear from the bottom near one of the wipers. Went to the Suzuki and the so called experts recommended that I should have kept the Windows a bit lower as it may have been due to the Pressure built inside.
Imagine if I was living in Gulf State or somewhere where temperature go beyond 50 Deg.? Then they would have said you should have kept all your doors and trunk open to avoid such incident. Now there is nothing that Suzuki can do for you.
How pathetic is that? And now I have to bear approx 30K to get it replaced from Suzuki.
If anyone can suggest someone or somewhere I can get it done cheaper without compromising the quality of service and finishing.
As I am located in Islamabad, so someone also suggested me to visit Chah Sultan for Japanese Clerio Windshield but I am not sure to where to start looking.
Any suggestion in Rawalpindi/Islamabad will be higly appreciated.

There are brand new windshields available in auto parts market. Get that installed. Do not go for used windshield as that could have scratches on that lying in scrapyard.

my new Alto's back screen was converted into pieces all by itself. later on came to know and observed on road myself that alot of Alto's are having back screens replaced due to same issue - from 3S it was over 20k - i installed AGI (ahmed glass industry) back screen for 5500 - its nearly 5 months now.

Go to 1s dealers instead of 3s dealers, you will get the original part in much less price.

Suzuki should have replaced it for free and should pay damages to customers too. Imagine happening it with front windscreen at high speed, glass shattering into pieces and injuring the passengers.

The front WS never shatters.
On fatigue it cracks and maintains its figure as it is made by laminating glass sheets with HC/polymer mesh.

After my visit for schedule maintenance and service from Suzuki Dealership, I found airbag check light. So I went back to the Dealership and they told me airbag sensor module is not working, it needs to be replaced which costs 33k.

Get it scanned with computer and consult anyother good mechanic for idea.

I'm considering buying a used cultus 2017 model or newer. What are some common issues or problems I should be aware of?
I've also heard rumors that it is very unreliable. Please guide me on this issue as wel.

• is everyone really getting atleast 15kmpl avg in city with Karachi traffic? I hv extremely light foot.
• someone pls share a pic of front cup holders, are they too small or just standard size?
• is there enough space in front of gear to put phone and wallet?
• what are rpms at 60kph, 80kph, 100kph @5th gear
• do you frequently shift to neutral in stop n go traffic? And at signal? To save unnecessary wear on clutch
• head unit is good enough for normal use? Can it have maps, etc?

A. Yes I am getting 15+ kmpl in karachi city traffic.

A. you can put wallet but not enough space for phone.

A. Not accurate figures but what I notices is 1.7, 1.9 , 2.4 @5th gear

A. no need to shift to neutral. Infact there is no clutch to operate there is an AGS (Auto gear Shift) kit installed with engine which performs the gear shifting automatically.

A. Mine have an after market head unit and it contains maps.

Thanks.. i have heard people are shifting gear lever to neutral at signals, because in D and stopped, the clutch is kept at bite point by the computer, which wears it unnecessarily

If you are not limited to 1000cc Swift GL CVT is a wiser choice adding 200k to Cultus AGS.

The head unit is so/so. Does the job.

Had AGS Alto, its wiser to put the car in N on signals to save the clutch from extra wear and tear. But not mandatory in stop and go. Sometimes the car make clutch press and release motion so you your self would want to put it in N.

You can keep a slim wallet and a cell phone in front the compartment avaliable in front of gear under AC controls.

A normal size cell phone fits in the pocket avaliable on the driver side aswell.

Front cup holders are normal size.

I have a manual cultus does 13 to 15 kmpl in karachi drive. AGS Should do Slightly better.
