I think there is nothing like k-next in cultus engine. Its K10B as per suzuki website same as wagon r's. Suzuki didn't bother to provide a better engine in this much price hike, they know there is nothing an option for Pakistani people besides going to buy this car. Basically they just looted customer by increasing 156k in case of VXR, otherwise everything is same.

Now to the topic. From Paksuzuki website, the wagonr engine has compression ratio of 10:1, which is the K10B engine. The Celerio/Cultus engine has compression ratio of 11:1, which is the K-Next engine. The K-Next engine is Euro VI compliant, as the links you have shared with me separately also show. A little bit of tweaking can't take it to Euro II. And major tweaking is not done by Paksuzuki, especially in engines. That said, retarding emissions standards also retards fuel economy numbers. So this act doesn't make sense at all.

PakSuzuki mentions Euro II on Wagon R's specs because we don't have anything higher than that here, but that is a separate debate.

Notice the difference in compression ratio among the two. That is the difference between the original K10B and the K-Next engine. From the horse's mouth itself.

It is the next generation K10B, known as K-Next. Check the compression ratio on both the specs of Wagon R and Cultus, The Cultus has 11:1 compression ratio and Wagon R has 10:1. That is the difference between K10B and K-Next or next gen K10B, both are labeled the same. There are some further frictional losses reduced in the K-Next engine, hence we see that the fuel economy New Cultus users are getting is better than that of Wagon R users.

But I agree, the New Cultus is highly overpriced. It does not justify it's price tag. But perhaps that's the case with most PakSuzuki cars.

Why would the manufacturer incorrectly state that their car is Euro 2 when it is not. Are you saing that the manufacturer, Paksuzuki, is stating wrong information on its official specifications sheet and user manual for Wagon R K10B? . It would be bad marketing.

Surely if it is Euro 6 wouldn't they advertise it as Euro 6 and use it as a promotional point just like Honda does cause a lot of people know what Euro standards are now. The awareness level of vehicle drivers is far more now than it used to be.

Suzuki is the dumbest auto manufacturer in the world and in pakistan their stupidity is high like K2. There is a solid reason why they went bankrupt in America.

They sold old EFI cultus for several years with user manual written for 3 cylinder carby cultus. These idiots are still selling "kamani wali Mehran" with only two AC ducts calling it Euro 2/4 EFI Mehran and I am sure if it is tested according to real Euro standards, it will fail all emission tests.

These idiots are calling Mega Carry's speedometer a "safety feature" on their site. Check the screenshot below.

So don't believe whatever crap is mentioned on their site. It is not 100% correct. New Cultus aka Celerio got same K-Next (Next Gen K10B) engine which is installed in Celerio in other countries. (This engine is directly imported from Indonesia or Thailand). Overall quality of body, paint and other parts might be lower than international variants but the engine is same.

And also do not do the mistake of buying Wagon R engine parts for New Cultus. They won't fit properly.

Do not spray oil underneath the car. That will only cause damage.

are you sure it will be AMT ??. It is unlikely as Celerio's AMT is being made in India I think and import of these components from India is not allowed by the government. CVT seems like a more realistic option as Thailand/Indonesia have CVT.

What is wrong with CVT, it is a proper automatic and more fuel efficient. AMT gives gear change jerks while CVT is pretty smooth. It is better although costlier.

paksuzuki probably won't launch it with cvt as swift and ciaz don't have cvt as well. I think AMT will be a good option though as it will also have the option to change gears manually. No doubt that CVT is very smooth but paksuzuki se aisi koi umeed nahin. hopefully AMT won't be any more jerky than the non-cvt auto transmissions. Youtube reviews of celerio amt don't tag the AMT as being too jerky or anything
