Just for tentative idea of price in same category car in India and how much extra Pakistani manufacturers are charging.

Frankly speaking, Toyota and Honda prices still looks decent keeping in view currency exchange rate.(though Honda City in Pakistan is one generation Old, but new generation increase will be roughly 2lacs?/)

Though, there might be some difference of few specs and accessories, but at least this sheet can give broad idea how badly Suzuki is exploiting Pakistani Market.

I have cultus 2017 and facing strange issue. Usb Start from first track when car ignition turn on. It cant save the last track played during the drive. Any one help me please

try another USB. something is wrong with your USB drive. I had the exact same issue, Tried anotehr uSb drive and it worked fine.

The Corolla 1.8G can be bought for about 18lacs on-road in Madras(quoting price for my city) but Toyota has a car for every price point in India and the Liva (Yaris size) hatch starts at 5.17lacs ex-showroom, add approx 60,000 tax.Same for Honda too you can buy a Brio, Jazz , Amaze, WRV from 4-8lacs on road. the prices quoted in your post are for diesel engine cars so higher. But, nice post anyways

You're actually comparing apple with oranges.

1. You have to first understand the level of localization is different in both the countries.
2. Level of production/demand which will eventually be used to recover the initial investment as early as possible.
3. Massive vendor base in India.
4. Export hub of many car manufacturers.
5. Subsidies which were given by countries like cheap electricity, tax relaxation etc.

2. Level of production/demand which will eventually be used to recover the initial investment as early as possible.
3. Massive vendor base in India.
4. Export hub of many car manufacturers.

Many time I had seen this kind of ill logical excuses and justification for over pricing by the so called layman experts instead of asking the question of over price they start to justify it without any reason. Don't forget that Pakistan is the 5th largest auto market of the world.

I have a lot of examples like Bangladesh, Sirilanka, UAE, Afghanistan etc which lack a far behind in all these things which you mentioned but still getting better products at lower price.

We are getting this type of cheap products at a lot higher price due to our cheap mindset that we try to justify over pricing ourselves and find a way to pay more and also strat to convince others just to show our limited knowledge as limitless. We are used to accept anything without any consumer rights from political parties to consumer product.

Why cellular services of Mobilink was high to sky some years ago and know they are giving free sims with free talk time? Why Honda CD 70 was priced at 78k in 2003 and than droped to 50k and still below 78k where it was 15 years ago? Why CD 70 which was at 78k in 2003 is now below that price but Suzuki mehran which was at 230k or 290 k at that time is now more than double today? What will you justify now? Over pricing of mehran or consistency of price of CD 70 bike?

Try to ask for you consumer rights like rest of world instead of these justification.

Do u consider Honda Atlas and Toyota Indus Oranges and Pak Suzuki apples despite being all three manufacturers operating in same regulations ??? Kudos!
All your points are invalid once we see one manufacturer is charging half a price more from India and another three times.
I hope no special incentives are given to other two manufacturers too.
It is just a demand supply gap which Pakistani manufacturers and specially Suzuki is exploiting.
Wait for couple of more years once supply matches demand, we will see what miracle will bring down prices despite being having all the hindrances current manufacturers r facing.

Today new Honda CD 70 price is 64000 rupees. My father bought me one in 2008 when I was in college for Rs 63000. And today after 9.5 years new CD 70 price is still below 65k. The reason for that is there are over 100 companies manufacturing CD 70 bikes and Honda could not create a monopoly in bikes segment. So they are forced to sell it for lower price to compete with others.

Yes that's my point if there were no other companies, than this CD-70 would be selling over 200k and our stupid so called expert were always there to justify their over pricing by their layman kind of expertise (inflation, $-hike, CBU, CKD Bla bla lolz) as they are doing now a days in case of four wheelers.

The reason for that is CD70 is almost localised completely, they don't have to import anything to manufacture it and no honda still sells 90k+ bikes a month whereas the second bestseller united only comes near 20k. It's just that size of 2 wheeler market is big so it looks like that to you. Small players like Suzuki, Yamaha etc only sell like 2000 units a month which is equivalent to like 200 units if you come to passenger car market.

Honda still has the majority of two-wheeler market because they kept the prices constant over the past 10 years. Had they increased the prices like PakSuzuki is increasing, even with the introduction of new manufacturers, nobody would be buying Honda two-wheelers anymore. If CD70 had been 150k right now (looking at the almost double price increase of Mehran in the same period), nobody would buy it and would happily go for a 30k odd Chinese bike. At one point, the price difference just becomes too much for the consumer and fails to compensate for the brand name only.

A Little off topic. First of all i really apologize, if I've offended or hurt you in any way. The other thing is you are right in your opinion and i am entitled of mine that's why its called a freedom speech. This is really very good to have difference of opinion as far as its constructive in any manner. Unfortunately we as a nation try to impose our thinking on others without seeing the consequences.Ii'm seeing this thing specially young blood being easily offended even if somebody is disagreeing on anything.
