no draw back .....you will have better fuel economy ...a lil less grip ..such that you wont feel a difference

i had same size on my 1500cc khyber then on cultus with 1600cc..... they worked fine when using them as daily runners

if you want good fuel economy and safe ride..use steel factory alloys.... still want allows ..buy suzuki cultus vxl alloys they are better then chines alloys available in market

155/70/13 are smaller than 175/70/13??? If so than it will have effect on fuel economy???

Bhai, PS is providing General 155/80R13 in new cars as Stock tyre in cultus since Long.
Kiya ho gya hay??? Go on road and check tyre of any cultus first yar
I have used different models of cultus from 2000 to 2016 and all of them are equipped with 155/80R13 from Factory fitted.
General XP 2000 II.

Even if u see sticker on driving side door, stock size mentioned is also 155/80
155 is already less and if u will use 155/70 balance will be issue that's why after much research, PS has equipped these cultus with 155/80R13

Also I am using 175 so there is slight difference felt in speedometer and odo readings as usual bcuz I shifted from stock 155/80R13 to 175/70R13

dear i am not saying you are lying .. tyres must be available ....but t=if that size stucks why not go for small size like 155/70/13 for spare

i own a workshop n cars with daily routine do visit n mostly related to performance

i just wanted to know how come same size tyre wont fit the back of yr car ?

175/70/13 and 155/80/13 have same diameter ..... difference in speedometer will be ..if it shows 100km/H then in actual it will be 100.8 km/h which is not hardly 1 KM difference

are you using CNG in your car ?

Thanks. One thing more when there is now one on back seats and whenever there are jumps on road the rear side of car makes noise as if something hard has hit the ground and if single person is on rear side it is smooth. What does that mean should i go for rear shocks inspection???

your car makes noise when its not loaded and its quite when some weight is load on back seats

either the top foundation of yr shocks have gone or springs and to weak to handle the jump

i am sure you are not using spacers ..

do check if springs are in proper position and placed perfectly ......

No bhai, I was just correcting u when u mentioned that 155/80 is unusual size, I simply proved via facts and Figures that R&D department of PS has equipped it as stock and thus providing and recommending it since last 18+ years.

Other thing iI want to clear that u r just focusing single parameter "Diameter", there r multiple factors. Space issue is not due to Diameter but due to "Width" issue. There is almost +13.1% difference in both width which causes it hard to cover within allocated boot space

I think it will be very dangerous decision to go for economy by ignoring and bypassing Safety of your family and car as well as damaging natural grip and control of car.

If manufacturer is recommending it means that it is designed with several factors including Height to weight ratio so please do not play with life of your beloved one just for some money by Ignoring standards

When 3 peoples sit on rear seats of my cultus 2014, it makes "CHEEEN CHEEEN" alongwith some metallic knocking sound of cylinder. Is it suspension issue or cylinder is not fixed properly?

Cheen cheen is common noise also caused due to 2 Levers present in rear sears for folding
If u press two knobs on rear seats, they will fell down, then u can see two levers on both sides which were holding these seats

Either apply good quality grease or like in my present car, previous owner put electrical tapes in black color to avoid such noises

Genunine will cost you around 3500-4000 and thailand made will somewhere around 1200 and paint of both bumpers is 3k. These are the rates in my city.
