Salam!
It's only been a month since I bought my 65,000kms driven cultus 2012 for PKR 10.5 lacs.
Spent 4 days straight checking out pakwheels listings and showrooms in Islamabad and Rawalpindi - finally found this one. I had a 11 lacs budget in which I needed a reliable, easy to maintain, Islamabad registered car. Looked at a lot of options but settled on Cultus. This one was geniuine bumper to bumper, but the engine needed some work - there was white smoke on start-up which disappeared after a few minutes. The previous owner had converted the steering into an EPS, put alloy rims and new tires. On petrol since day one.
Long story short, I got clutch wire, gasket, rings, valves, seals, and radiator work done along with the usual oil and coolant change - all of it costed me around 25k. The total cost therefore has now reached to 10.75 lacs.
Today, it runs like a charm. Feels smooth and (almost) silent on the road. For the price, Masha'Allah I think I got a great deal - really satisfied with Cultus' performance and comfort. The AC performance could be better but it's alright.
One major pain point is the fading color of the left tail light. It's getting yellow-er by the day and I don't know what to do about it. 99% of the EFI models I see on the road have one of their tail lights fading its color. Any idea why that is or how I can fix that? Help!
Anyways...We have had the 2006 cultus as our family car back in 2010 but this model is absolutely NOT as I remember cultus to be - it is much smoother and quieter.
Just wanted to share my experience. Also, I have a very reliable and capable mechanic in case somebody in Rawalpindi and Islamabad is looking for one.
Thank you for your time! Would love your feedback on the tail light color fading issue, plus all other comments are welcomed
Jazak Allah!
