Hi Folks! I have just bought an FX GA 1985 Model. (I used to hate this car) I am in Rawalpindi, the car is in bad shape. I am going to restore it slowly, can't do it in one blow. I work in two shifts to maintain my expenses.
So far what I have learned about FX is that it is very economical. The steering is good as compared to Mehran so is the drive. I had 2 round trips from Rwp to Chawinda and Rwp-Gujranwala-sargodha-rwp. Although i got stuck in heavy fog but the car did great. So here is what I have already done so far with the car.
Suspension;
1. Chimta set (VXR) BTW i have no idea what do we call chimta in english
2. Goda / I guess its called excel , seals set on both side of gear
3. Helping Rod bush set
4. Both Front Spindles
Engine
5. New Generator
6. Gear Barring
7. Clutch Barring
8. Gear Lever Thiya (Foundation its called I guess)
9. Gear Lever bush set
10. A little tune up
She is doing great for my long runs. As I travel from Rwp to chawinda (sialkot) a lot. What I am going to do now is;
Body Work
New Doors
New Farash
New Foot boards
New Roof
New Fenders
New Bonut
New Ainak (What we call that in English?)
Its almost 3 months now since i paid the first installment. It is clear now and I will send her to workshop for bodywork soon. I will keep you all update and will be looking forward for moral support
