Suzuki GS 150 Maintenance

Friends, I am finally planning to buy a new bike as well, i also cant decide which bike i should buy, (cg-125 , gs-150),but i m really interested in gs 150, i wanted to knw if the pick and max speed of 150 is higher or less than 125?
the other thing is that i wwont stay in pak after 4 years from nw, so whatever bike im going to buy right now i hve to think of its resale value as well,so please help me out!!

Buy only GS150 if u know bikes very well, are passionate and can handle all tension if it troubles.

If resale is an issue go 4 CG125.. but still after 4 yrs GS would have earned its price too.

Spares, up keep is going to be an issue with GS... better only invest if can spare time and money!

too late reply but may be help someone . i,m not a one wheeler but due to i have kept these both bikes in my daily use so may be i can say something in light of my practical experience . first of all no one should compare these bikes with each other because they both have different profile like gs is quite off roader as well so its plus point however cg has better initial shoot as compare to gs but when we talk about on highway on 110 km/h or above for continuously or for more than at least 10 minutes than honda cg 125 is "kachra" i guarantee ......... because cg is light weight than gs so cg can not provide vibration free ride on continuous high speed like gs ...
and the most important thing buy new suzuki gs 150 and live worry free about stolen . and about parts expensive price i think it doesn,t matter because these are long lasting and take long time to be replaced . and one more thing fuel average is also excellent but also depends on riding conditions .
be careful i,m talking about gs 2007 version . i don,t know about after versions

Sir can any one guide my regarding checking engine oil. I read in the owner's manual that i have to start the bike to some time and then 2 to 3 minutes after switching it off i can check the engine oil level of my GS 150 2013 model. What i am experiencing is that if the bike stands idle for quite some time it shows oil level between F and L level but after 2 to 3 minutes of switching off, the oil level remains below level "L". Am i low on engine oil or is it normal? Your advise in this regard is highly appreciated.

One more thing sir. When i ride my bike i can feel the heat of the engine on my foot. Does engine heats up that much? Is it normal?

How much long ride?
In 40 degrees temp, heat can be felt on ur ankles even after 15-20 min of high speed run.

If u feel heat too early, inspect ur oil..fake oils result in more engine heat

every bike does so . but if it is way excessive check few things , at idle start remove tappet cover and see how much oil is coming ( oil comes at half of piston to cool it )
what grade oil you are using
what number of spark plug you running if stock is 7 and you running 5 it will definately get hot

Thanks alot sir. Your advise solved my problem. Actually oil level was causing the issue what i got from it. The oil quality was alright but the oil level indicator misguide about the quantity needed. I drained the engine oil, changed oil filter and refilled it with 1000ml of oil. Now its running perfectly.

I have a question i will be very thankful if anybody could answer that i recently bought a new gs 150 and now i am facing a problem of strange sound from the head of the engine while accelerating my bike The sound is is like doug doug doug can u please tell me is there any problem with the head of of the engine and if there is a problem then how can i fix it.
