I don't want to change the rim and then end up with braking issues, etc.

IMHO you will not have braking issues with wider rim b/z you'll be changing the rim only not the brake drum.

AFAIK if you intend to use a wider tyre you must use the appropritely sized/designed rim for that tyre(Regardless of tyre brand names) in order to achieve the roadgrip that the tyre is designed for.

Please do share your experience with new rim/tyre.

I think the same that better results might be attainable, if I use the Deluxe's rim with the same tyre. So, I will think about that if the alteration is not too troublesome, I don't want to change the rim and then end up with braking issues, etc. The other thing is that I might go to Saddar and look for a decent tyre of 18 for the bike, maybe a yokohama or dunlop will solve it.

deluxe and storm are using the rims of same brand named as SOMO,
and they are of very cheap quality, rusting appears in few months ,
so dont use that rim , its wider in size but its quality isnt good,
whereas gs rims are of better quality

I had a lengthy discussion with a reliable mechanic and I told him about installing the deluxe tyre and loosing the road grip. He suggested only to replace the rim, i.e. install the deluxe rim and use the same Panther tyre 3.00-18 that came with the GS150.
The Deluxe rim is about Rs.1400 or so then it is the installation cost. The thing that hinders me is that the spokes have to be removed from the original rim and then have to fitted on the deluxe rim, alignment, etc. I don't want to go through this hassle as my bike is new & I don't want to mess up the original fitting. I have decided to remove this Deluxe tyre and use the same Panther tyre for now.

Sir is the road grip of the default tires that bad that the bike is unsafe? or is it just the bike owner's own preference to install the tires? i dont think the grip would be bad with the default tires. What is your opinion on this?

I think the default Panther tyre 3.00-18 is good in terms of road grip, traction. The only reason I wanted to change it is because the tyre looks slim on the rear wheel. If you look at the Deluxe tyre and rim, it looks impressive, even people who install off-road tyres on Honda Classic 125, those tyres also look impressive. Coming back to the question, the default tyre is good on road, it's just the looks of it. Nonetheless, in my experience, I have never felt this much confident on riding any bike as compared to Suzuki GS150.

If you have made-up your mind to buy this bike then I suggest if you have access to a GS150, then just take a small ride to get the feel of the bike and you don't have to run it at high speeds. Park the bike, put it on the stand, etc, in this way you will get a feel for the bike.
The other thing is that I assume you know that, initially, GS150 averages around 40km/liter and with the fuel prices increasing and with not so high resale are some realistic factors to keep in mind as well.
Share some photos when and if you buy the GS150 and absolutely no inconveniences in replying, after all the purpose is to share information to help make informed choices.

Thank you for your valuable info, i am buying this bike with no intention to ever sell it and i think for an engine of 150cc 40km per liter isnt bad at all, and yes you are correct i will try to take a test drive but i am in love with this bike regardless and ofcourse the day i'll get the bike i;ll post a few pics. other thing is that i m feeling my bike is slip many time when m turn on square...and on off road,,,i check it two times, mechanic says....sir g enu warranty claim wasty deyo..rim ya hub da rolla ay,
now what should i do ?
