Here's another GS150, it's an older model and is equipped with a nice silencer. Suzuki people removed the mounting on the new silencers. I think it's look good and I might buy the old silencer if its still being sold.

well amjad ch, i think this silencer is still available, however the cost of genuine one is Rs 5000 and chines made costs around Rs 1500,

In search of a bigger rear tire, I asked the mechanic's opinion and he said not install a bigger tire as it will hinder performance. Instead he suggested to install the rear rim of Deluxe.

Here are some photos for comparison:

The bike of the left is mine and the bike on the right (GS150) is the one with the Deluxe's rim. Both of them are wearing the same type of tire: 3.00-18.

correct, it will effect Fuel Economy, Pick, Top speed, but the grip will increase (but what to do of the grip when there is no speed, it just like increasing the Drag(Friction between Road and Tyre) for the Mechine).

Wider tyre is good on the gravily surface or Hilly Areas.

The plastic rear fender installed on above shown GS is not looking good.
Regarding rear tyre ur mechanic is rite coz if u install rim & tyre of Dlux i.e. 2.15-18 & 90/90-18 respectively than u will have wider contact with road with out affecting the final drive ratio. And it would also look very nice.

Yes, the mechanic said to install the rim only of Deluxe and to use the same tire that I currently have on the GS150, I think it is 3.00-18.

Any recommendations for a good quality tire, same size 3.00-18?

3.00-18 tyre is too small in width to be intsalled on 2.15 18 rim but u can try it

@amjadch: nice bike.. i am a big fan of suzuki 150... i have a suzuki sprinter 110cc.. very much satisfied with the fuel economy, grip, drive... i have done 14000 kms on it till now and no issues..ALLAHAMDULLILAH.. now i am planning to buy 150 once i am free from my studies...! congrats for your new bike..

no doubt suzuki GS150 is a powerful bike with self start system. I also own one GS150 2008 model. But I did'nt like some features of it.

1:- Lack of braking. brake is not much powerful as per its engine power.
2:- Too much lightweight.

rest the bike is fine.

R u sure GS 150 is too much light weight ?:S
as per my info its the most bulkiest among all the bikes available in Pakistan & weighs about 119 KG.

this bikes front is too big..cnt do cutting in rushy traffic
i hav cg bt wen first tym i drove ma frnds gs150 itx too high..
itx givin mea thought ov old chips bike which hav vry high handles

Sir as compare to my zx-125-9a. Suzuki GS150 is lighter than it. So i felt very dangerous on it.

suzuki isnt lightweight bike as u said , but without disc brakes its very difficult to stop especially at high speeds and its weight increase its momentum becoming more difficult to stop,
so if ur travelling at 110 Km/h speed on GS and something comes in front of u then ur on a suicide mission, btw zxmco will handel the situation in a better way due to disc.

Filled the bike after 401kms and it consumed 10.55 ltrs.
So at this rate it is averaging 38km/ltr. Will check it again after 400kms.
