Suzuki GS150 top speed

Is there performance of bike increase if we mix Hi Octane with ordinary Petrol?

lol its obvious GS150 will be faster than junoon, but i am saying i havn't done any modifications in the engine, if i do that i can touch 120 my friend did, all i am saying is i expect a lil more from GS150.

you didn't get what i am saying.... Even if you do 120Km/h on junoon meter , you can't beat GS150 at 110Km/h.
I have checked many 120Km/h videos on youtube.....
If you calculate exactly, you'll come to know that when Junoon at 120Km/h on meter, it is actually at 105Km/h real speed. While GS150 and CG125 when at 110Km/h on meter, real speed is 105Km/h.

No it will not, unless u do some real modification in engine that requires fuel with higher octane rating.

Let me share my experience,

hmmm, doing 120 at 9K RPM???
Top gear ratio is 0.913 in stock GS150. That means to achieve "true" 120Km/h , you 'll need to be at 11K RPM.
probably serious error in speedometer.

Regarding RPM it is showing relatively less reading coz bike was equiped with 3.50-18 Trail tyre which has difnaely increased final drive ratio. Stock GS150 gives ~110KMPH speed @9000rpm

Even if it has 3.50 tyre at rear, RPM can't be that much less.
Stock GS150 will give
98Km/h speed @9000rpm,
109Km/h speed @10000RPM,
120Km/h speed @11000RPM,
and you are in luck if you achieve 12000 RPM in 5th gear, it will top out at 131Km/h speed

GS 150 hales from a GS family of suzuki bikes and a fine peice of engineering.
Imran did you redlined every gear before shifting, or did it acchieved smoothly ? I rode my friends GS last week and we had a long lonely smooth road and we tried dragging her, it did achieved this speed but on 11000 RPM ... we were two guys on bike, is that the reason ?

That being said, though i have not pushed my bike (GS150) much yet, but i have noticed speedometer error at low speeds which probably means error is gonna be much higher at high speeds.
Alsons is pretty much crap now a days, even chinese meters have less error than my Junoon's original Alsons meter.

That is not 120. That is 115. Because Alsons instrument panels are piece of ****, you'll have to minus 5-10 kms.
So technically that is 110 km/h.

Which is itself the practical limit of this bike if you calculate the top speed by hand using the below info, and any velocity calculation formulae on the internet:

• rear tire circumference (via size notation)
• primary and final drive ratios (reductions)
• gear ratios of individual
• chain links and pitch sizes
• max rpm you can reach (of final gear)

TIP: If you increase the circumference, for instance, by adding 100/90/18, you can reach 110 or 115 a bit quicker

Torque = ((33000 * horsepower) / (2 * pi * rpm)) * 1.3558 newton-meter

Yes, but theoretically GS has a higher torque of 10.28 Nm at 9000 rpm, than a CG 125. So it can accelerate a bit quicker.

Plus, if you'll keep rev'ing the CG at that speed for more than few minutes, you will be pushing beyond its designed limits.

It will start screaming

And the chances are that the CG engine will over-heat. :P

Once we planned to check my GS' top speed. With head down, the max it could do was 118km/h on GPS. The speedometer was showing 130km/h and the RPM was a little above 11k.

Yes I was lucky to test the GS which had a better Alson meter and showed me right speed it was 11k RPM and speedo needle was just kissing the 120kmh number... but it was not able to push it ahead little more...

last month I was testing a test bike on a smooth LMC brand new lonely roads I got this, please dont ask which bike... I will tell later.

118 km/hr on gps is amazing. but be safe while riding brother

RPM is at 9K i doubt it seems to be a faulty meter; though I've heard a lot about it that it achives the full speed of 120km/h, but poor braking, should be DISC Brake to control such high speed

At those speeds, even a disk brake will not help in stopping instantly.
Stopping distance is nearly 110 meters for speed over 80 km/h. For disk brakes, it might be 100 meters.

my GS can do 105+ on GPS. But i am not sure about 110, may be with head down and stuff

True. Depends on the total mass (including yours as well).
Plus, using a wider 100/90/18 tire will increase its circumference and will help.

GS does 0 to 100, in probably 20-30 seconds. Above that, it's gonna take a bit of time or should I say COURAGE cause, breaking from that speed sucks on Pakistani bikes .

Where were you guys driving?
As far as i know, FSD has no roads with light traffic, to pull off that kind of feat in less than two minute (time required to go beyond 100 km/h).

You must have tested it at night or on motorway

Guys i personally know that a biker is a biker becuase of the freedom of ride and we love speedy bikes... but please do it carefully in a controlled environment no matter where but do take all the counter measures before pushing the small machines to limit.

You don't use disc brake for "instant" stopping. You use disc brake because of its lesser "response time".

Stopping from high speeds with a disc brake will be MUCH quicker.
