I beg to differ on both the counts....

1. It is not a good addition to the Suzuki family, as it is a low spec car...

2. The second hand 660s will eat this car alive..

When you call your insurance to sort out a repair bill on your second hand 660, they will supply you with scrap parts with scratches, dents, cut screws, body filler bonding etc.

While the guy owning a suzuki will get new parts made by the OE manufacturer.

Both bills cost will be quite apart too.

Yes, this car is limited in features, yes, this car doesn't have Air bags, Yes, this car doesn't have rear power windows, yes, this car doesn't have flat bed and it certainly doesn't have a LPG kitchen in the back or a Jacuzzi :P.

Still- Pak Suzuki has more choices to offer than what Toyota and Honda are offering.

The Rent-A-Car goddess XLi is good in it's place, the "Luxury" brand, Honda is good in it's place and the average Joe- Suzuki. Limited budget? Mehran. Can extend a bit? This/Cultus. Got 1.3million+ Swift. What they need now is a Suzuki Sedan.

At least Suzuki is offering something new! No offense to Die hard Honda/Toyota owners- You simply cannot compare this with a Honda or a Toyota. Well, with XLi deffo and City/GLi a bit, this has Immobilizer, too bad City and GLi cannot install that. Suzuki Yay!:-#

For all those whining about abs, power windows, over pricing, air bags and ugly looks...

• Sir, with due respect which 660cc mini van JDM isn't ugly? (excluding a few)

It's much better than otty, cervo and a lot more cars available as imports AND they are running fine in roads... Wo ugly nae bhai?

• Out of 100 drivers I see on roads 80 don't drive wearing seat belts, 15 have them tied from the rear and 5 simply don't care about that taaan taaan sound. (except in posh areas and I must admit the trend is changing - that's a good thing)

Now exclude sedans and consider the ratio of people wearing seat belts... Why you need an airbag? It wouldn't deploy without seat belts...

• get out of your major cities and you'll see xli everywhere.. Why? Simply because it's the SAME car... with no power windows, matching mirrors door handles, abs, ebd, driver airbag... Why pay 150k or 600k for the same car? A common man doesn't think about hp and torque figures.. Us ko 1300/1800/1600 se koi gharaaz nae he simply need a car for his commute.
  Baki pay 50k more or apni marzi ki upgrades.

Es tarha the day you'll start thinking about the needs of a common man you'll accept the reality.

I wouldn't appreciate PS for this car, the front dash is too empty, the wires are not properly insulated under hood, the car lacks a lot of basic features (compared to JDM counter parts) but...

1. It has immobilizer (holy *****! Really? Yes! Honda ne city aspire15 mai nae dia suzuki offered it in their 2nd tier model

2. It's has a better engine - once again might not be good enough to compete JDM counterparts but better than what PS is offering right now. Not kabli not used in Japan not only 6500 driven a brand new engine.

3. A brand new car... A very lame argument but people do consider it..

For instance when I bought my car, my mum said, buy any car you want to maybe a million or 1.5 more expensive but don't buy this chali hoe purani Accord simply because you like it's shape. I called my dad before paying the 'biana' and he said yar abi jaa k showroom se civic le aoo Ye 5 saal Purani gari na lu

So yeah its brand new... Sorry if you were offended by my personal experience.

On a side note, Offer airbags abs ebd traction control power steering auto mirrors and all that fancy gadgets ad I believe people will buy cultus....

we had Cultus with price tag of 10.3 lacs
it only had AC

With this one, the top model priced at 10.9 lacs has

Power steering
Better more powerful engine
Immobilizer
Front power windows
14" Alloy wheels
Central locking
better suspension
warranty!

This is much better value for your money. They should have included a version with full options like ABS, Auto transmission, all power windows and power mirrors. I wouldnt mind paying 13 lacs for this kind of fully loaded car.

I think this would sell like hot cakes. This is a much needed relief to middle class families who have been wasting money on damaged/repaired JDMs with no re-sale and no warranty.

the diference in VX and Vxr could be lesser then 150k, Swift DX and DLX differs only 65k.

Any ways jisko mehngi lagrae hai na lei, Jisko leni hai wo leile, New car means a trouble free 3 years.

VX priced in a good way to attract Mehran buyers, And the Cultus price factor is to create artificial brand rivalry (just like Denizen and Levis) Other then that yes they might discontinue Cultus, And work on a 800cc Alto ( i hope they do ) And delete Mehran aswell from the lineup.

And finally replace Bolan / Ravi with Carry , Kheir these are just my speculations anything can happen, Took 2 years for Wagon R to come out after alto left market.

And yes the credit goes to PakSuzuki for atleast offering a newer car to cater people looking for a brand new car between Swift and Mehran price range. Faw V2 is still on the waiting list, Toyota Etios is expected to cater Swift market althou its a cheaper car then Swift but the Toyota logo would make it superior in Pakistan, Honda has no plans to add any other car in the lineup as yet. And they are probably planing to change City in 2015.

Kindly guys don't compare baba Adam k zamanay ke cultus with this weagon r it's completely a fresh looking vehicle plus a pleasure of diving in small weagon type shape vehicle is much better than low height cars. One of the best plus point of these weagon r type vehicles is these have very massive shape dash board plus cabin shape is a lot more than other cars. Thanks to PS at least finally they started thinking that now they shouldn't stick to only typical old style shape cars like cultus in 1000 cc category and finally they introduced weagon r which is completely fresh looking.

What most of us is gonna do is buy a VX for 8.99 and intall an aftermarket AC for rs 35000.

After market AC most of the times disappoint another thing vx doesn't have power steering too so I think vxr should be choice to buy if one wants but no doubt vx and vxr price difference is alot.
