Suzuki internal news regarding Wagon-R and Alto

Hi guys, based on the positive feedback, I have booked a Wagon R - VXL in Silky Silver colour. I was entitled to get a Cultus, but I chose Wagon R by paying the additional cost upfront. I have come to know about two optional packages, one costing about 94K comprising of body kit, the other about 6K including covers and mats etc. At the moment, I will have to do without anything extra, except for tires, as the VXL is already costing me a hefty 55K more than the cultus. Can anybody shed some light on the best tire size, I personally think 175/70/13 would be ok, but 165/70/13 also appear appropriate.

Would you guys believe? I am confused between wagon R and City i-vtec.... Of course there is no comparison but due to specific reasons... To make it simple its about deciding should i spend more money or less

In this day and age, it is best to save money. If you dont have a specific need for a sedan, my opinion is to go for a wagon R, as it is very reasonable in every aspect

Back to home distance meter is 491 km, so fill the tank from same pump as i filled in the morning (PSO), full fill 25.22 litres

so according to calculation
491/25.22 = 19.56 km/l (Keep this thing in mind that speed is max. 120km/hr, average speed is 110km/hr with A/c on full blue chill A/c ku k aj bhoat garmi thi :-))

So final word on my two trips on motorway I get 19 km/l which the mileage the company claims all over the world.

I love this car, I kept Suzuki Swift but its very expensive in case of fuel consumption and my daily travelling is 110km per day.
Wagon R is a complete package.

In this day and age, it is best to save money. If you dont have a specific need for a sedan, my opinion is to go for a wagon R, as it is very reasonable in every aspect

Very rightly said..... But in fact i don't have money for either of them... I have to get car from office.... Of course it will be deducted from salary.....If i had the cash i would have probably opted for wagonR.... But when i think of the situation c after 5 years... When all my installments would have been paid... So after this long period of sacrificing a considerable chunk of my salary regularly.... What will i be able to own.... A 5 year old Suzuki hatch-back??.... This feeling doesn't
make me comfortable

Go for a honda city then bro. In case of installments, the monthly difference would not be much but a bigger car is obviously more suitable, thinking long term. And city is a lovely car as well.

Btw..i have a family of 5 elders (including myself) and 1 toddler... We all travel together not very often but let's say once in every 1.5 months.... But my drive is 60-70km avg. daily.... I live a bit out of karachi....

For your family size, masha Allah, I would definitely recommend a sedan, that too, a corolla. I have kept a city from 2010 to 2012 and with 3 elders in the car and luggage, the ground clearance gets very low - it touches most of the speed breakers (my mother used to scream everytime that happened - hai gaddi lag gayee :p).

I now drive a corolla xli 2012 model and with 3 elders, 2 kids and a trunk full of luggage, the car still has plenty of ground clearance. We have been to shogran once and to murree/islamabad plently of times on this car with full luggage and found the ground clearance better than city's.

I understand your travel with full load would be occasional, yet, when elders are sitting in the car, they notice the smallest of unusual noises.

Where do you live ? saadi town ? maymar ? for 60+ km daily drive your primary concern should be fuel if not provided by company because then you will be spending 500+ rs petrol daily

It's opposite to deawoo bus station on superhighway.... Pilibhit society... (Near teachers society and pcsir society)... And my office is at Clifton... Sometimes I've to go to factory as well which is on national highway near FAST campus... Feul provided by the company is a mere 90 liter per month... But factory visits are additionally paid...

If i get an avg of 15km/liter...it makes 90*15=1350 paid kms/month......which divided by even 30 days (lets assume i travel on off days as much as well) makes 1350/30=45 kms per day....... Which means 15km/day or 450km/month are un paid... Which makes 450/15=30 liters on unpaid petrol or pkr 3240 of extra expense per month.........along with about 30k of deduction from the salary (in the case of city) and about 22k deduction in the case of wagonR............aaaaah i ultimately did some math out:)

I get 150 litres of fuel from the office, but my monthly usage is 200 litres plus. In my case, the extra money paid is worthwhile, as the asset is more valuable, has better resale, more utility during family travel etc. However, this is just me, you decide as per your preference and situation.

I live in PCSIR :), but with city and considering rush time, you can get around 13-14km/l with ac in rush time, in off peak time it can give you 15-17km/l with AC with light foot, single person sitting. With wagon r this mileage should be better by 1-2 km/l.
