This is a sweet range in which you are getting cars from Mira to Passo. P.S. needs to channel this range otherwise it will be big risk for other P.S. products as well.

i Particularly think if they are going ahead with the Wagon R option than they would either be going with Wagon R Wide or the indian Wagon R. The latter is not possible in this scenerio and other versions of Wagon R are not feasible since they run on smaller engines and P.S. has no ability whatsoever to fit 1.0L engine. So the wagon R wide version available in EU having a K10A engine the only option that P.S. has....

KARACHI, Aug 31: Pak-Suzuki Motor Company Limited (PSMCL) would introduce Alto 800cc, Swift Sedan and other new versions in case trade with India normalises.
The company had terminated production of Alto 1,000cc in Pakistan from June 2012 due to non-availability of CKD kits in Japan which had hit its overall sales.
Shafiq Ahmed Shaikh, Head of Public Relations and PSMCL spokesman said, “Even if trade is not allowed with India, the company has requested the government to allow Pak-Suzuki to import CKD kits from India under special case for lower price vehicles.”

three types of Altos sold in India:

• "Alto 800" - successor of "Maruti 800" which was first launched in India as "Maruti 800"(aka Suzuki SS80 internationally)

• "Alto k10" - which is a remodeled version of original Alto(Discontinued).
  engine used is 996cc K10 series engine. gives very good fuel efficiency.

• "A-Star" - is another variant. rear passenger space is less in this model.

  K10 series gives good mileage but 1.2 litre K-series engine used to power Swift,Ritz(Splash) etc are much better.

though, I believe old shape Alto is also limitedly sold with K-series engine. the earlier engine(F8D)? was more drivable as per some.

There is no way PS will replace Mehran 800 by "Alto 800" (aka Suzuki SS80) in near future (I mean in next 5 years). Even if they launch that version of Alto, it will fit in a category between Mehran and Cultus which has been vacant since PS Alto discontinued. . .
