Suzuki kyhber engine overhauled

bro uptil nw ccar has been driven 600kms .ma sha Allah going well.ma sha Allah becoming smooth day by day .i will get its oil change at 1000 kms n this tym i will go for suzuki mobil oil as @margaller advised me .other than that today i opened the plugs n the were all bright red .baki Ma sha Allah no oil leakage ,no oil reduction n everything normal

MashaAllah the air filter lid and bumper look great in matte black. Where did you get the rubber grommet that goes where the screw is tightened? Mine is torn so i need a replacement. Also if you're using a gasket for the inner side of lid do mention that too.
Make sure you use SGO PREMIUM API SG 10W-40 with VIC oil filter(350rs approx). hopefully this rebuild will last a long while.

Thanks bro ..in sha Allah i hope it last for a long tym .Bro i bought these rubber grommet frm a spare part shop for 20 rupees .they r nt same as the original ones .i hav placed them undr the air filter brackets n i have used the washers that r used on tappet cover to tighten the bolts on air filter (i had 3 tappet cover washers wid me becz i hav recently changed them ).the gasket in the air filter box was a bit damaged bt nt that much so i sealed it wid black silicon a year ago n its going good. N yes , its been many years that m using vic oil filter n air filter.bt nw air filter is nt available in vic so i use guard air filter.n yes i will go for this oil wen i change at 1000kms .

Did you advice me any good mechanic for KHYBER in Islamabad? I have spent more than 25K on front suspension & steering but still not satisfied. Old steering was unable to repairing and new one is not fitted properly, it gives squeeze sound while turning.
I replaced new axel+ Chimtay + all bushes. Before this work my Khyber was balanced, but now I feel it is dropping from one side.
Actually I want to restore KHYBER from Zero and this was the 1st step, in 2nd phase suspension, Shocks & then body works and finally Electric. I need good mechanic who will work with concentration and sold grip on KHYBER!

Very well maintained ride. Great work. Drive safe and do break in with lots of different speed and rpms variations in stop and go traffic.

Let the engine warm up for few minutes before you drive.

Bro i dun hav any idea about islamabad .islamabad members can give u a better advice .if the steering is making squeezing sound , may b the steering column bush is very hard wich is making the sound .if the car is lowered from on side , once again chk for the suspension especially the shocks .most probably the shock is damaged .for all the things u hav to find a sincere a capable mechanic , electrician , denter n painter .for that , get help from other senior member of pakwheels especially from islamad bad .other than that if u need any help from my side , you r more than welcome

If you have a good multimeter then check primary resistance by placing probes on +ve and -ve of the coil. now check the secondary resistance by placing a probe on +ve and the other where the wire goes from distributor to coil. Do both these tests with ignition at OFF.

The following are the ranges as given to me by @syncview:

Primary: 1.08 - 1.38 ohm

Secondary: 12.7 - 17.3 kohms

Now put car at ON position and place a probe on +ve of coil and -ve of battery to check if coil is getting the same battery voltage. NEVER use the -ve of coil to check voltage or you may get shocked.
so be careful and post the readings here as soon as you get them.

Bro today i checked the resistance of the coil by the method u told me .wid ignotion off wen i connected the probes on the coil there was no reading n also there was 13.60 kohms reading wen i conected to the point from where the wire goes out to distributor ...with ignition on it gav me a value of 11.8 volts ..nw tell me wats the matter n tell me where m i wrong .thanks

I had the chance to check out an 86 corolla, it was getting full voltage without relay, fudge you suzuki

Other than is the car has MashAllah completwd 1000kms 3 days back n the oil was changed aswell with suzuki geniune oil sgo premium .also the tappets were adjusted .

Bro mileage is ma sha Allah good ..last time i got the tank ful n then after 375 km i got it ful again ..it got ful in 28.5 litres . Approximately 13 kms/l .its all within the city with very light foot ....as its just 1100kms driven , i hope it gets a bit better with the tym .

Nice overhaul and good luck for a smooth running years ahead. I have kept a 1991 Khyber for about six years and still miss it. What a comfy and powerful ride. Nice driving position, spacious cabin, smooth as silk.
