If you want to buy margalla then you should not have sold the Cultus in the first place. The only differences between the two cars is the rear boot and the engine and nothing else.

As @nnabeel Bhai says if you want to buy a margalla buy a good clean one and swap all the rusty bits, even interior of the foreign versions are available at shershah but remember one thing it is an old Suzuki you will have to go-to your mechanic a few times in a year ( I should say quarterly basis)

Buy a Liana without the CNG upper models like 2010-11 they will cost you more but peace of mind for some years at least.

Margalla is the same car like ccultus only the difference is its BOOT and with 1.3 engine..... I'm assuming you sold your cultus to upgrade to DIGI wali gari. otherwise cultus wasnt a bad car..

Liana at first. then baleno or margalla at second. jo b achi condition me mil jae. try finding margalla plus.

Bro, margalla thek halat me ap ko jo leney wali gari hogi wo ap ko 4 lac sey kam ki mile gi nahi. ap ney main main chezo ka estimate lagaya jo 75000 ki bani. trust me yeh jab kam karwaya ap ney may be is sey zada paisey lag jae... coz you never know jab gari ka kam khulta hai tou pata nahi chalta kitney paise lag jae.

Sharing my experience. I bought mehran ages ago but before buying it meney estimate lagaya tha jo 40K bana tha, but i ended up spending 75K for my own peace of mind.

If you want restoration project. you need money and time. and please resort it to its stock original condition no alternation at all.

Yes, but that's what's my requirements are. A sedan and something above 1000 CC. That's why it ticks all the boxes. And on top of that it's economical than both baleno and Liana. I will keep looking for all three and whichever I find in the best shape I will go for it.

I agree on maintenance but if I get a cheap deal let's say for 2.5-300k I can splash 100k or something and it will become trouble free for at least 2 years.

Cultus wasn't bad at all. Its engine was too old to enjoy on motorways. The owner cited he never overhauled the engine in the past 10 years so it was a little risky and it could break anytime.

nahi dw itna jaldi all of sudden engine break nahi hota. agar proper maintain kia ho. slowly slowly engine apni health bataney lag jata hai... but anyhow.. cultus is gone.. welcome to the category of upgrading your gari. try getting liana. aga samj ati hai ap ko liana ki. s u said cultus ka engine old tha. margalla is way older than cultus. baleno is from the same generation almost as of your cultus. so upgrade k sath kuch different chae hai tou liana is the better option i guess.

Rest is with your luck jo b gari thek mil jae. Margalla trouble free car, around 4lac,, baleno trouble free car around 5 or 5.50 may be 6 lac. liana trouble free car 5.50lac to 6.50 lac. as far as my knowledge is concern.

I agree. It's always a 50/50 but again buying a mint condition Margalla will be the same given it's age. So why not spend that money myself for more peace of mind.

It was indeed properly maintained and atleast never abused since I bought it. I ran it for almost 20000 KM. Yes, Cultus is gone. Well, yes, it's a hassle to upgrade but it is what it is now. That's exactly why I am preferring a Margalla with a weaker engine. Overhauling will make sure that the engine should run atleast 30K KMs.

JazakALLAH brother. Han, I will not only look for Margalla but Baleno and Liana as well. Btw, Baleno in Karachi in top notch condition is easily available for 4.75-5 Max and Liana goes all the way from 5 to 8-8 (depending on the model). Btw is JXR/JXL variant better than GLi, GTI etc.

GLi and 1.6 GTi are pre facelift models. GLi only has AC while 1.6 GTi is fully loaded and has a 1.6 engine.
JXR and JXL are facelift models. JXL has powered antenna, powered sidemirrors, brake light integrated spoiler, body colored door handles and sidemirrors, alloy rims and rear seatbelts. JXR didn't have these.

Can't say about Liana and Baleno but since I own Margalla. I would definitely recommend is to anyone looking for a good car in 3.5 to 4.5 lac range. It has been our workhorse for 2 years apart from changing plugs a few times and minor things needing replacement now and then, the only major maintenance I did was of suspension, which was because of abuse it had taken when we were shifting home. Now its engine feels weak. I have option to overhaul it but decided to upgrade to a newer car instead. Overall I had a good experience with Margalla. Try to get a 98 model with power windows/doors/mirror. Indus Corolla is a better car from the same era but clean ones cost over 7 lacs.

i will suggest to go for gud nick liana whether it is cng version or not. just go 80 to 100 percent fit liana body and interior wise tw ap is baat ka tw sakoon hoga k body and interior mei mjhe zada mehnat nhi krni,,
ab baat ati h engine ki tw, agr engine achi halat mei nhi milta tw go for clean swap of engine bolt to bolt wid its original automatic transmission.

apka project ka bhi shok pora hojaiga or budget in hand mei sakoon se sara kam hojaiga.

Okay so after inspecting a few balenos. Man people abuse their vehicles so much or maybe we don't have roads in Karachi hence the vehicles yell "Meri waat lagi Hui hai" lol.

Again JazakAllah for your feedbacks and suggestions. Is Liana Automatic a good vehicle? I am seeing one which looks amazing condition wise less driven but the demand looks too high. 8.25 for a 2007 model (eminent).

Not personally fan of automatic but given the traffic condition if I can get a good vehicle for around 700k I think I will go for it. But, i need advise from you guys.

Used cars boht expensive hoti ja rahi hain. as you are talking about roads ki halat tou try getting toyota 7th gen. liana ka auto transmission ka koi idea nahi bro. auto traffic k hesab se tou thek hai but mileage achi nahi hoti auto transmission ki.
just focus to get any decent car auto miley ya manual. mujhey tou is chez ka feeler araha hai kahi ap ko cultus EFi wali kahi na wapis leney parh jae,
