How is radiator condition the coolant will be of no use is radiator is rusted car would over heat get a 82c t.valve (same as cultus) if the car is running on direct fan with no t.valve the rocker arm would be done by now

Ya I think that I should just leave the coolant idea. However, the engine is newly built. So rocker arms would have been replaced too. What do u say, may I just shift to auto fan for the moment and leave the t stat valve for some time later??? U know any good competent guy in Karachi for this purpose???

I drove my last car without T-Valve for few months because its T-Valve availability was rare.
But in those few months heat gauge/needle of car travelled up than its normal position, for many times. One time it burst the hose pipe. One time it threw all coolant out of engine. Etc. So, I have to stop, pull couple of water bottles from trunk and then cooldown the radiator, toping it up and after few minutes again drive.

I will suggest you first find the correctly working T-Valve before putting the fan in auto mode.
And unless you don?t find the T-Valve, keep driving in direct mode.

Once I took taxi (mehran) from Islamabad Convention Centre to Rawalpindi Daewoo stand. All the way I noticed that heat needle stayed even below than C level because its fan was direct and it was February 2011. The distance was like 25~30 Km, but needle stayed below than C all the way.

I have a mehran 1996. It does not have a thermostat valve but the fan is auto. So it does reach optimum temperature, but it takes time. There has been no incidence of leakage or heat ups or pipe bursts.

Condition of rust? Any blockage?
Pouring room temp or cold water isn't advised in an engine directly that has reached optimum temp with no tstat.

ok so today we did it. with the help of @salman922 and his technician, we converted the radiator fan from direct to auto. And now it is working on its own. the temperature gauge now rises upto 45% percent. and now I have noticed drastic improvement in the performance. the car seems more responsive and light now. @tintin1 I will observe the water level for some time and then install the t stat valve too. what say????

I remember very well that Xulfiqar bhai informed.

If the aircleaner box is made of Plastic then it as Rocker rollers.
And if aircleaner box is made of metal, then it has Flat Tappets.

Hence i'll suggest for zic m (15w-40) or similar viscosities but with older grades like SG, SH

Brother are you sure about this as I don't think air box have anything to do with head design baleno,efi cultus both have plastic airbox with fiat tappets

Sir xulfiqar sir said that the cat eye lancer came with two engine the one with plastic airbox have flat tappet and the one with metal is rocker arm he was telling difference between lancer two engine there's the airbox thing doesn't apply to every engine

Well the fan is now in automode and you felt the difference. That?s good.
Try to keep searching the T-Valve. Its not very rare item to find. And once installed, its life is very long.
I?ll suggest to have T-Valve install too. Price would be under PKR 500/- and it hardly takes 5 minutes to install it and 10-15 minutes to check its working

@tintin1 do you know any oil in Pakistan that is 10w40 and is api sh, sj or sL??? there was a castrol (not magnatec) 10w40 but I couldn't find it anywhere
moreover, can I use zic diesel synthetic oil 10w40 api SL in my mehran and margalla??
