Winters are pretty close and i have noticed that the temperature gauge reaches halfway pretty late in the morning. I have an automatically controlled radiator fan but still it takes long to reach optimum temperature if the traffic is thin.

I tried various shops out of which only a couple of them stock a second hand unit (kabuli). I am not sure whether the kabuli one would still have its life left and can lead to disastrous results, if failed. I would be very grateful if someone could assist me in this regard.

T.valve for margalla is very generic kond of parts its 82C ratted and was used in cultus as well you can easily find it, try asking for cultus one

Mostly parts sellers are least concerned about selling parts for old cars

Does suzuki margalla use a 1.1 or 0.9 rated radiator cap in the original Loads radiator?

It doesn't look like a margalla engine, does it? I think its from cultus efi or baleno. Am I right?

This is fuel injection version of g13ba. These mostly came in European variants of swift/margalla sf413. In countries Netherlands.

This is G16 - efi version, Lots of these cars were in Pakistan too, all of them imported as JDM units, every single one of them was automatic too.

They looked like margallas but nothing from the Pk margalla fit, e.g. axles, struts, brakes, suspension parts and even AC parts. - it was branded as swift too. (dont confuse this with the swift sedan that PS sold with the 1.0 litre engine)

My cousin is selling his 1994 Toyota Margalla. The car is in very poor condition and will essentially need a full rebuild. The major issues are:

Significant body rust.

Worn-out seats and dashboard.

The original engine is also in bad shape.

I'm seeking advice on two points:

Purchase Decision: Given the extensive work needed, do you think it's a worthwhile project, or should I avoid it?

Engine Swap: If I do proceed, I plan an engine swap. My primary needs for the car are:

Good Power

Decent Fuel Economy

High Reliability (for long road trips)

Considering I'm based in Karachi, what engine would you recommend that balances these factors and is locally available/supportable?
