i have 2016 model VXR 30000 kms on ODO, noticed some gear oild leakage at lever seal point, got it checked from suzuki central motors, i was told that the manual says to get the gear oil changed at first 5000 kms however i had not got it changed (honestly never knew about that). suzuki guys were kind enough to agree for change of the seal with in warranty, however when it was opened the gear lever rod was also scratched from a side therefore the rod was also changed all free of cost covered under warranty except Rs 900 for fresh gear oil.
i have noticed mostly ppl ignore the gear oil change at first 5000 kms new car users be mindful of this important thing.
