Suzuki mehran milage on petrol

My mehran 2012 (simple not euro 2) is giving me about 18km/l is 4.18 rs per cost per liter when petrol is 78.6 rs/litre

The only thing i love about mehran is fuel economy....

I have got new zero metre mehran its mileage was 18km/litre on petrol on highways , may be 1-2 km less within lahore , i got AC installed init , now its average has dropped to 12-13km/litre with AC , all other parameters like heating up etc are normal ... is it a normal responce ?? Mechanic says it a normal responce of engine..

Mine efi vxr gives 17 km on motorway with a.c at speed of 120.. more than 20 in winter

I hav a mehran 2004 model which is giving 545km on full tank petrol and it become almost 18.5km/L

I have recently bought mehran 2011 model (36000km driven) and it's giving mileage of 12-12.5 KM/L without AC and CNG kit has been removed. Can anybody suggest something to better it's mileage?
Bdw I always get fuel refilled from Total PARCO.

My vehicle gives 15-16 km/ltr without a.c. inter city and when I go on to highway through motorway M9, it gives me 21-22 without a.c. I am fully satisfied as far as patrol average is concerned. No technique, just drive carefully and change oil on regular basis

i have mehran 2016, it is giving me 13km/l without ac.
worse milage, tell me what to do.

In city without AC 14km, with ac 12 km on highway without a.c on constant speed of 70 it gives 20km, on constant speed of 100 it gives 15km , car is not aerodynamic and owns a small engine so speed matters a lot. With a.c on highway , speed in between 70 to 85 it gives 16 km

Mine 2003 Vx gives 19-22 on highway , speed range between 70,80km/h
got this average after changing Carburator and tunning, previous avg was 8-12 on highway:smile:

Yesterday 09.09.2018
I check mileage of my MEHRAN 2018, with full time on AC on GT.Road from Lahore to Sialkot via Gujranwala.
I don't have any single doubt about mileage.
Its mileage 18.5km/Ltr to 20km/Ltr with AC

Well, recently I purchased Mehran 2015 model Euro 2 and on 1st October I got the tank filled. I've driven with
a mix of AC but don't see it getting past 11KM/Liter, that's driving within city.

More importantly, the tuning and oil change etc. is due after next 1000KM. I hope that it gets better after that.

Other than that, any idea how to increase the mileage, within city?

Keep air filter cleaned. Check air pressure in tires. Use a light foot to accelerate. Keep speed within 60-80 in the city. Try to travel on relatively less busy roads/times. No unnecessary braking/accelerating. Put the extra weight off of the car (if there are faltu cheezain in the trunk space) These steps might help improve fuel average...

Thanks for the suggestion, I think it will improve after the upcoming tuning and the oil change as well. Other than that, hardly get a chance to drive between 60-80 as the route to office and back home is quite busy and brakes need to be applied time and again.

But lets see, how things improve otherwise.

It counts A LOT, the same car, the same city, the same petrol tuning etc. etc. I got two different averages only because of two different routes (12.5 - 13.5 km/l on a relatively longer but empty road and around 8 km/l on a road with stop and go traffic and a lot of brakes to apply, even the course was significantly shorter). The car i am talking about is 1300 cc automatic BTW.

point is , if you drive on a busy road with a lot of traffic (jam) and stop and go ... this is already okay average, but it will improve after the tuning and oil change InshaAllah.
