I recently purchased suzuki swift 2018 and the issue is the clutch of the car is really hard,Can anyone guide me what could be the possible issue,Thanks in advance.

get its clutch slave cylinder checked / replaced. My car's clutch was also getting hard and unresponsive in extreme traffic jams, but since the change of slave cylinder, now it's working fine and not giving any problems.. i got it sourced from Bilal Gunj Lahore (used of course) for 7000 rupees through Autospot. pk lahore

Bro i hope ur car has done more than 70-80k than better go for complete clutch change instead of replacing parts. U can see my queries sometime back on this forum and after a lot of deliberation and risk of loss involved in changing part by part and from some roadside mechanic (which i myself use in some case like recently overhauled suspension from a roadside mechanic but will not recommend clutch replacement of swift from them due to various reasons which i deeply researched before opting for my 13yrs old known 3S).
I am attaching purchase receipt of all parts that i bought so u can have price idea of items. These are the best items you should buy. Dont even think of buy any quality other then these because Suzuki 3S will most probably reject to work with non genuine parts and ur car will also be at risk. I have cut the gear oil in the receipt as i mistakenly bought old SGO gear oil which Suzuki itself doesn’t recommend in swift and they rejected to use it later i bought 2 x 1 litre Zic 75w85 gear oil bottles which they accepted. Interestingly my Lower Cylinder was found to be ok which in most cases is found damaged and upper is found to be ok but in my case it was vice versa so i later tried to return but the shopkeeper was hesitant to buy it back as suzuki guys damaged its box with oil stains but interestingly Suzuki Carachi Motors (my preferred 3S) accepted their mistake and bought it from me in same amount (good of them). So cutting short all these parts replacement will make u feel that u have bought a brand new car and you will surely enjoy ur ride but replacing part by part will most probably cause u a deep regret. But anyways i would recommend u to get a detailed checkup of the issue from some good 3S and if u r in Karachi go to Carachi Motors and then buy the parts as they recommend from outside. And one more important thing that i got a further 3000rs less in price of cylinders as the one shown in this receipt were found to be refurbished ones so i returned them and bought them from another shop in 3000rs less. Remember only buy genuine Suzuki cylinders only and do request shopkeeper to accept their mistake return if some cylinder is not utilized by Suzuki. Also request 3S not to put oil stains on boxes of parts if they are not utilized. Remember all these parts including brake oil and gear oil are required in perfect clutch replacement work.

Just do what i have written go to Suzuki 3s and get the actual issue diagnosed then if its clutch issue do what i have written. Remember replacing only cylinder is not recommended by 3s and also good reputation road side mechanics as well. Once u get the cylinder in ur hand u will realize that what they say is true and the fragile part of cylinder will break if the clutch itself is somewhat defective and hard so dont risk ur 10000-27000 by not getting complete clutch replacement

hey all... i had a question regarding automatic transmission in swift dlx... my question is that is it necessary to shift the car in N mode while being stuck in traffic.. or while waiting for a traffic stop. Many ppl don't shift the car to N while waiting in either of these scenarios.

Is there something different in swift? In our mira its i very rarely shift to N while waiting. I keep it at D and may be sometimes to P as its safe to do so

well that depends... u see swift uses conventional automatic transmission with torque converter; while most new cars have CVT automatic,

No need to switch to anything. Just keep the brake depressed and keep it in D.

If stopped for a prolonged period put it in P.

I have recently purchased Suzuki Swift GL which is 61400 on the odometer. Can anyone confirm the CVT oil change interval and when it becomes due the first time as per the manual?

I recently got a Swift DLX Automatic 2019 (45K driven) and love how smooth it feels compared to my old Cultus 2014. I’ve done some basic maintenance: switched to Shell Helix 5W-30, changed the filters, flushed the radiator, and added new coolant.

Now, I’m looking for budget-friendly tires. Are General BG Falcon 185/65 R15 a good choice? Any other recommendations?

In budget try Nexen N BLUE HD plus. Not sure what its price is but if it’s not available at a budget avoid then.

Sailun is another budget tire Chinese. Legal import via tyre point.

Get these​ i also got these for replacing my Yokohama Advan DB and proved worth it although matching Yokohama Advan DB is not easy. But look wise these tyres look extraordinary cool

what's the price per tire and are they comfortable with regards to road noise and softness

16500 per tyre at present . And uptil now i grade them very satisfactory because its a relative term. I had excellent experience of Yokohama Advan DB but when i was buying these tyres few months back the Advan DB were around 26000 per tyre or more. Then there were mixed reviews about newer variants of advan Db and i was using old 551 variant which proved extraordinary in every field. So now the plus of these tyres are its cheaper price, cool look from front and sides due to higher strength side wall(u can see XL on the packaging which as per the shopkeeper is for extra load carrying capability and apparently they look like that as well) and the special curve inside wall that completely absorbs the rim side wall and that makes tyre and rim look much cooler
Negative points are that due being XL they feel little heavy on the steering compared to Advan DB but with time u become used to it (interestingly i found almost zero difference in fuel consumption) they feel harder as compared to advan db but thats what u expect to get in this price and noise level is ofcourse more than advan db. But overall i am satisfied what i paid for
