I have put in Autolite Irridium 3923 in my swift. They have improved on economy for sure and car feels light on the foot to drive. Have ben using K&N drop in filter for some time now but havent updated you guys. That has made a significant difference, and it feels like a bundle of joy to drive.

Can you please share the cost of both of them?

I am also using both of these. I used earlier Denso IK20 and i feel that in city driving denso gave better mileage. Mileage of autolite is a bit more in city.

Just wanting some advice as i have a relatively new DLX. I have got the car serviced a couple of time but didn't spray petrol or diesel underneath on the suspension. Not on the engine as well. What's the best practice for it?

Bro,
Never ever spray diesel on plastic parts as its a dust catcher & will reduce the plastic part's life. Only high pressure "Air" for cleaning the engine bay. If u feel sticky dust on it u can use a little amount of petrol along with high pressure air. Nothing Else.....

NEVER do that!

This allows dirt to accumulate in the areas these oils are sprayed and then after being moist for some time with dirt they also attract rust.
Its better to get it washed by plain water only and then allow it to escape properly in all the areas i.e. let it dry properly.
For engine use the after market cleaners that come and are easily available are hypermarkets around Pakistan.

Instead you can get the suspension and shocks sprayed with WD-40 or use the Oil that PakSuzuki provides for this sole purpose. Another member used WD-40 and was satisfied.

shop nearer to my locality (DHA, Karachi) quoted me 40k for the entire kit w/paint. It included. Front whole bumper, Rear whole bumper and Side skirts. Kit was in plastic which is better than fiberglass. Fiberglass ones were cheaper...
Old bumpers can be kept at home for future replacement at time of sale....etc.

Any one having better quotes than this?

Well from my experience :

1.Change the plugs to iridiums you mileage and power will improve(You can use Denso IK20,NGK BKR6EIX-11, NGK IFR6J11, AutoliteXP3923)
2.Use fully synthetic oil like ZIC XQ.

3.Keep your air filter clean.

4.In initial 1000 Kms don't drive above 100 Km/hr and don't accelerate much.

5.I also recommend not to use the tank to last drop, don't take it beyond 1/4 of tank.

1. When in the workshop stand by the car, and don't let the worker do anything extra/suspicious.Get the entry done for every service in warranty book by the authorized service centre.

7.Drive in the RPM range 1500-2500.

1. Get your car washed with good car wash and then get it waxed with good wax.

9.Keep the air pressure as per recommendation(33 front,30 rear) if the roads are good in the areas you drive.

Can you tell me how much mileage can be done on ZIC XQ (initial during break in as well as afterwards in normal situations), best gear oil, oil filter, air filter to use ? mileage interval for regular servicing ? which coolent to use and whether adding water is fine etc ? I used to own a mehran so these things didnt matter much then. I used to use Caltex engine oil 20w-40 i guess or 10w-40 something like that, and used to pour water in radiator :S but wasnt that much aware of the things back then ...

First time use ZIC XQ 5W40 for 4000, afterwards you can change at 6000. I change after 6000-7000(ZIC people say you can use for 15000 but i don't do that). In radiator coolant is already added so just keep on checking the level. Its level normally doesn't go down, i never had to add coolant just used to check it, but if you replace then use coolant and water in recommended ratio(usually 70:30 is ratio), brand you can use the one in tin pack(don't remember the name).For oil filter use the genuine suzuki filter and not the guard filter. Air filter genuine suzuki is ok, however i have recently changed mine to K&N filter and it gives good acceleration and it is good for 1 million kms, you can try that also. Gear oil you can use ZIC.

What is the price of ZIC XQ in the markete. I have never seen this variant of ZIC. Is it a special one. I use ZIC A+ & change @5000km. Its my 4th Oil Change now. What do u recommend....

Price of zic xq 5w40 is 3200. It is available at the dealerships. It is of higher and better quality than A+, since it is not very common so no fear of fake
K & N is expensive but you don't need to change it for the life of the car. Regarding the market filter I have never used so can't say how it is.
