No tuning needed as such. Over time require cleaning due to carbon/residue accumulation.

I always prefer the original plates.

But i have scene plenty of cats running "fancy" plates in town. From what i hear so long as you have the original in the car, you should be fine.

But why would you want to risk getting stopped at every corner??

Bro the scanner is a diagnostic tool which checks that all electronic items (sensors) of the car are providing correct signals - and hence performing properly.

If there is an issue, an error code is displayed on the scanning device. Each sensor has its own particular code. So the mechanics know which one to target in the event an error code flashes up.

The diagnostic tool should not be confused with the electronic/computer tuning equipment.
