Dear all,

In order to make this thread useful can someone post the specs of various consumables as specified in the user manual. For example: grade of engine oil, grade of gear oil / auto transmission oil, spark plug nos., coolant type and quantity and change intervals. the recommended intervals for every type of maintenance / replacement. important procedures / guidelines / warnings from the manual.

Can someone scan or take photos of the user manual and upload here.

Many of us including me are without the user manual so it ll help a lot.

I am also interested to know these things as i am going to first 1000km checkup this weekend. I am thinking of changing the gear oil. What do u guyz suggest ? should i change gear oil or not ? and what about the engine oil and other stuff.

Did the person follow the checklist printed on the back of the 1000km tuneup card (the light blue one i guess) ??? I'll be going this weekend iA for the first checkup @1k, will post the updates here how it will go.

But do let me know abt the gear oil n other stuff to keep my eyes n mind open for at the time of tuneup.

+1. I have an old swift workshop manual as well as owners manual downloaded from somewhere. Below is the link of workshop manual i could find, donno if its still active or not cuz i cannot verify rite now.

Some say that you should change oil whether the company suggest's u or not!!!
secondly some people suggested me to change the plugs to improve the performance and economy....
that is why I am confused!!!!

Dont know about improvement in fuel mileage from change of spark plugs, as one of the guys here reported 14-16kmpl on stock plugs. I have Alhamdulillah also got 13.8kmpl on my first tank fillup, and 2nd tank in use but i calculated the average @50% usage (fuel needle at 50% position) which gave me abt 14.87kmpl ... which i think is fine for a new engine and all on stock spark plugs :). I am planning to change the spark plugs after 10k odo n would suggest the same to you ...

What mileage did you get from first tank usage ??

No need to change gear oil at 1000, you can change it at 5000.

I'm a owner of a grey 2012 swift only 5200KM driven. It's half tank used today and the ODO is showing 287KM done so far. I really hope the mileague is better this time. It's starting to show signs of improvement.

Update: 2 points left before the fuel light starts appearing and the ODO is showing 379KM done so far. This is all in the city.

I need help of any one who has access to this stuff or is near to a place from where he can get me this. Ill pay for the shipping + cost. But first I would need an estimate or price of the good.

Following is the A pillar panel which is the housing for the inner portion of side mirror. Local one is simple while the JDM swifts has this kind of panel with mostly tweeters fixed in them. I need such 2 panels (a pair) i.e. for both sides.

Thanks Sdogar. Then i think i'll go with the flow n let them do what is scheduled in first tuneup ... I am still getting irritated with the kirr kirr noise from non-drivers door panel, will tell me to resolve this thing as the sound is so irritating n annoying .....

Keep ur rpm b/w 2.0 - 2.5 with top speed b/w 80-100kms, u'll get a nyc average ... with 287 @ 50%, its abt 13.35kmpl ... it shud improve further ... my first fuel avg was 13.8, 2nd is 14.75 Alhamdulillah with approx. 1100 on odo. Will be going for 1st service tomorrow iA
