I have seen a lot of users say iridium spark plugs did increase their fuel economy. And as for oil, the suzuki owners manual, although recommends 10W-40, it is also stated that’s 0W20 is best for fuel economy. so what is it then? 0W-20 or 10W-40?

Iridium does not increase fuel efficiency. Iridium are considered as maintenance free plugs which can run for 50,000 kms without need of cleaning or replacement.

M13 is bit old engine and recommended engine oil as per Pakistan environmental condition is 10W40 . 0W20 is not recommended for Pakistani comdition.
One must meet 10W and 40. So 5W40, 10W40 is recommended ones.

Some also recommend 5W30 but that is not suitable in summer.

also, what economy does your Swift give? mine is an automatic 20k driven and gives off 7.5. City driving with AC, no rough driving whatsoever. finally after giving it to Suzuki for a day it has given 9 kml. Using 0W20 oil and standard issue plugs and recommended tyre pressures. And how can I improve this. Note that the car does have a smell of fuel in the interior. More often than not. Specially after it has come back after a long route drive.

This is complete logs of my swift from last 2 year having ODO of 48,000 kms

Getting 11 to 12 with AC in city and 13.5 to 14.5 with AC on long route.

Using iridium plugs
Genuine Air Filter
genuine Oil filter
Liqui Moly Hi-Tech synthoil 5W40
Liqui Moly Gear Oil.

Oil change interval is 8K with air and oil filter

Fuel smell should not b there inside the vehicle. Even I drove my car for 22 hours in a day with minor stops of 20 to 30 mins while coming back to Islamabad from hunza. No such smell or any other issue I faced.

Iridium plugs recommended ones are
1. NGK IFR6J-11 (hard to find, life 70,000 kms)
2. NGK BKR6EIX-11 (easily available, life 50,000 kms)
3. Denso IK-20

Yes genuine filters from Suzuki..

For manual transmission tecomm need gear oil is GL4 75W90

In Islamabad you can get genuine Liqui Moly products from I-8 markaz or blue area

Hello bro, i am using SWIFT PK since last 4 years, ODO is now showing 81000 KM, Allhamdullillah no major problem since last 4 years. Using Kixx OIL, Japanese Oil & air filter, changing interval is 6K. Since last some times whenever i start the AC, on standing position car's steering and body shows vibration as well as it lowers the pickup of car visibly. on the other side during driving it goes normal and not much vibration felt during its drive.

Maintaining this car since long time from Suzuki Sethi / Master Motors DHA. recently its throttle body also got cleaned as well as gear oil changed from Sethi Motors.

Can you pls guide me if you have some solution for this vibration when AC started.

AC taking too much load is a sign of excessive high side pressure within AC system. Get the AC high pressure checked with gauge.

It's more of an AC fault, than on Car side.

What is the rpm at when ac is turned on and when its off
Maybe its an idling issue

What your mechanic told you about the car? after having so many issues his trustworthiness is at stake i think : /. Having so many issues at this early mileage seems like a case of meter tempering to me : (

well might be true, anything can happen in Pakistan, the body, engine, interior and exterior is all good, everything is working fine all electronics, AC etc so either it was meter tempering or may be the previous owner did not maintain it properly whatever the case might be but now since I own it and have to take care of it.

Get the engine and gear mountings checked. They might have cracked and the additional load of the AC could be the reason that you feel the steering and body vibrating.

be a prudent buyer - think of 5-years from now. Suzuki parts are available at every street corner all over pakistan - Swift is a tried and tested car. enough said.
