I would recommend that you first check and replace your Ac filter and the gas .. if they don't work then replace the compressor .. I have 2011 Swift .. i had a problem last year same that my ac wasn't working and every where i took in rwp everybody said to replace it with a kabli as original was very expensive .. i couldn't decide ..so i came to lahore to my parents during holidays ..went to one of the mechanics .. he took out my radiator ..serviced it .. replaced my ac filter ..and replaced the gas as well .. and i am very happy with my ac Alhumdullilah .. so if u have gone through all that .. then i guess kabli is the best and budget friendly option

Guys meri swift mai ek issue araha hai ke jab bhi mai car ki AC chala raha hun 30 mints ke baad car agy nai chal rahi matlab ke gear dala jaise hy clutch chor raha hun car move nai kar rahi gear dala hwa hai clutch chori lekin car agy nai chal rahi lekin jab AC band hai tab koi issue nai ho raha bagair AC ke jitni chalaon chal rahi hai kisi mechanic ko issue samjh nai araha ( AC compressor bhi change karwa liya hai uske ielawa clutch plate pressure plate bhi vhamge karwai hy). Aur last mai aaj ek mechanic mila usney kaha ke cylinder hogaya hai kharab clutch wala jis ki wajha sey kar heat ho rahi hai tu woh release nai ho raha .

i have a concern regarding temp gauge of my swift , whenever i turn the car on the heat gauge rises to the middle in around 5mins and stays there for the rest of the trip. No matter what i do the needle stays in middle and when i return home and the car is sitting idle after 1 hour the engine is still very hot , The car however is giving no issue , is this with all the swifts or should i be concerned¿?

Ur car is normal from what u have just explained. Engine had to maintain a temperature to work properly..and that's the reason of automatic fan

Where do you live? I am in Lahore, and nowadays even if the car is parked for 3-4 hours, the engine does not cool down completely. The outside temperature nowadays is 43-44 degrees with the heat index crossing 48 degrees on the road or in the garage. When I start the car in the morning, it hardly takes 500m for the car to get up to operating temperature, as compared to in winters when it took 4-5km.

Just keep a check on your coolant level in the reserve bottle, and a couple of water bottles in the car as well in case of emergencies. Take your car to a good radiator guy and get the hose pipes checked for any leaks, even minor leaks can create a big problem in these hot days.

Excellent advice but most radiator guys are dangerous for your car. Br extremely careful picking one.

please have timing of your car checked. i had exactly same to same issue in my Baleno 2004, all mechanics and all 'experienced professionals' proved useless in its diagnosis. then a very old mechanic of mine whom i trusted came back to karachi and i showed him my car. he just said that he will open the timing wali side of engine and your issue will be 100% solved - and really the issue was resolved and its the second year now. since i know these mechanics very well, i never heard any of the other mechanics k ye change kara lo, wo change kara lo etc etc..

Thats a weird issue. Get the clutch cylinder and fluid lines checked. The fluud might be getting boiled due to some reason.

His shop is in Johar Town, in the Shadewal chowk mechanic market. His number is 0 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 1 - 3 - 6 - 4 - 8 - 7. His name is Sanaullah. He has excellent diagnosis and charges reasonably (as far as my experience with him is). I have had my 2002 civic compressor changed by him about 2 years ago, never had a problem till I sold the car. Give him my reference (Sabih). Have been going to him for the past 6 years, never had any problems and whomever I have recommended to him was satisfied. Shop is about 10 shops behind the closed up CNG pump opposite Cakes and Bakes on Shadewal Chowk. Shop name is Japan Car AC.

i can recommend him too because the procedure i mentioned above about servicing the radiator and changing the filter and gas .. was all done at this japan car ac ..if you are going from shukat khanum towards Allah ho chowk it is on your left .. right behind the cng pump .. once you turn .. the shop will be on your right ..
