i am starting to dislike my car.

its panels make noise when driven on uneven roads.
its suspension is too stiff.
its AC is not that great.
even though its DOHC its power output at low RPMs is not that great.
its seats are not so comfy.
its steering giving me skin probs. and it is stiff as well even though its powered.
it doesnt have any insulation. The roof makes hell of a noise in rain. you can hear a lot of road noise as well when driving. speakers make the doors vibrate.
clutch pedal is not that great. makes the driver tired.

I happened to go to Toli Pir, near Rawalakot on it. The journey was terrible. All the other cars could go over the bumps where as i have to maintain speed from 10 to 20 kmph. i got the lowest fuel consumption ever. 11.82 kmph for driving over 355 kms.

Got DLX with Nav. So far experience is good. Drive is better than city n car is good. Nav is good too l, 115 Kms on odo, will upload pics soon.

guys, i need your much valued help.

I've a suzuki swift 2010 model which has done 50,000 kms. It was giving me 450 kms to the tank on average but suddenly the mileage went down to 350 kms in the last tank which kinda alarmed me. It was due for a tune-up so I got the tuning done, got the brake pads changed (also due), put in fully synthetic oil, had the tyres changed (also due), put in a meguin fuel additive to clean out the engine block and then hoped that now the mileage would improve. Unfortunately, it hasn't. It's still pretty low and I can't figure out what could be the cause of this. I also got the A/C's gas topped up and the O2 sensor checked. The following are the most likely causes of poor mileage:

- under inflated tyres
- leak in engine oil
- leak in oil
- spark plugs
- stuck thermostat
- clogged air filter
- jammed brake
- oxygen mix (sensor) not working properly.
- bad fuel
- weight in the trunk

I would really appreciate any help. I have a suspicion it might have to do with the A/C cause the A/C has never worked really well on the car. Last few days it's been hot and the A/C hasn't been cooling the car at all so I think maybe the A/C is putting too much load on the car trying to cool the car? I dunno. HELP!

Just one fuel tank low mileage should haven't alarmed you that much :). There is nothing which can be called as "tuning" for these cars, tuning was for the carburetor cars. Everything is controlled by the ECU. Why you got the brake pads changed ??? Fuel additives are not at all recommended as they damage the system than doing "cleaning". AC poor cooling is mainly due to a clogged AC air filter(located below front glove) and the blower behind that, get both of these cleaned and replace AC air filter if it is not done before. You must get an excellent cooling. This is my 4th season with stock AC, i have never got done AC service or gas top up and believe me it is giving chilling air even in this much heat(only replaced AC air filter once). Keep the AC air filter clean, get it cleaned on every 5000 Kms.

Usually the panel sound is due to loose clips on the inside, get them tightened and the sound should improve.
I have already mentioned what can be the issue with the AC so follow this,AC poor cooling is mainly due to a clogged AC air filter(located below front glove) and the blower behind that, get both of these cleaned and replace AC air filter if it is not done before. Use some steering wheel cover if that is the issue.Regarding the suspension it is how the car is designed to make it sporty.
And it has the best response in low RPM of all 1300 CC and below cars of pakistan, it is tried and tested.

Agree with Sdogar regarding the AC part. I've had my swift for more than three years and haven't had a gas top up yet, I haven't even changed the cabin filter, I clean it every week and AC is brilliant. I drive the car alone or with one passenger, so I keep the side vents closed and only use the mid vents, results in even more throw and foggy glasses these days whenever I step out of the car

However, regarding low RPMs, I disagree. Swift is a bit sluggish below 2400 RPMs. Usual driving is between 2500 to 3500 so not an issue, but I have a bad habit of changing a bit early sometimes which often takes me to 2000 or 2200 RPMs. It feels a bit choked there and at 2400 RPMs, I notice a slight, barely noticeable improvement, as if the car is breathing better. Above that its great.

I see mixed comments about swift dlx. To some it is an excellent ride. To others it is not satisfactory. I dont hear that much biased comments for any other car. there are ppl who dont like city or civic or even corolla, but I can only see owners here who r satisfied. ..when I ask someone they just start how great this car is in international market n all but no one talks abt how it is performing in the local market. .. is that true or is it just me?? Please correct me if I m wrong. .

Its just you, I guess. This whole thread is mostly about the local Swift. We don't discuss foreign variants here much.

I'm least bothered about market performance as the Pakistani market is one of the most messed up ones I've ever come across. Depreciating cars appreciate in value here, Xli corollas sell for insane amounts of money, and used Accords fetch less money than new Corollas.

What matters is how happy YOU are with YOUR car.

Alhamdulillah got my new swift dlx smoke green from Suzuki Carachi motors and also got my old 2006 alto comPletely serviced and tuned from them by spending a huge amount
overall they are very nice dealers as I heard about them they gave me following things with car
seat covers
floor mats
steering cover (very good one as compared to one which I bought from market had to apply their cover instead of one which I bought myself)
Key chain
matching mud flaps
top cover

Air Filter Removal and Installation Removal
1) Remove glove box from instrument panel.
2) Remove air filter cover (1) from HVAC unit.
3) Pull out air filter from HVAC unit.
Installation

Reverse removal procedure noting the following
instructions.
? Position air filter by directing its arrow mark to the
upward.

Fit air filter cover (1) to HVAC unit so as not to stick air filter (2) by air filter cover?s claw (3). Otherwise, air
