I have done 3500 on my new swift, I also have not yet got the 1st chk out till yet. Should I have to done 1st chk up or should go for 2nd chk up which will be on 5000kms. Suggest engine oil for swift, Suzuki original oil or some else.

planning to use Liqui Moly engine oil in our Swift after 5000km checkup.
Got 2 choices, please tell me which one is best suitable;
1) Synthoil high tech 5w-40// API SM/CF 4,500 Pkr for 4 litres
2) Liechtlauf special AA 5w-30(special oil for japanese/asian cars) API SN, ILSAC GF-5. Price not confirmed yet.

And we drive about 1300km per month, and this oil is meant to be changed after 10,000km, so it is safe to keep it in the engine for 4-5 months?

Done 480km on 3rd tank ( auto-stop at 36 litres) and still got 2 bars left before reserve kicks in:P

Isn't 2,800 rpm @ 100kmp/h a bit high? expected it to be at least 2,500 rpm

^ If you use fully synthetic for 10,000 then it is recommended to change oil filter on 5000. I don't have any advice 4 liqui moli as i haven't used it however 5W40 will be better as Suzuki recommends 10W40 for swift. Regarding RPM it depends on how the gear ratios of a car are designed. In toyota 1300cc, on 100 RPM is higher than swift.It is also recommended that you don't take fuel below 1/4th of tank and refill for health of fuel pump.Also do get your warranty book signed and stamped on each checkup by workshop so that no issue is raised in case of warranty claim.

Have you changed the brake oil yet? I am near 100,000 and not done so. As per the manual it should be done on every 30,000 . Also tell about fuel filter, have you got that changed ?

Brake fluid changed twice. At 40,000kms and 80,000kms. Wasn't needed, oil was in great shape, but still did it just to keep things fresh.

Haven't changed fuel filter since its part of the fuel pump assembly so the entire fuel pump will get replaced. Costs around 40k. Fuel average has gone very down, I think my fuel filter is done for.

40 K is the cost of fuel filter or whole work ? Isn't it too costly ? Any shortcut or if one doesn't change what will be the result ?

Whole fuel pump.

If not, I doubt there is a cleaning mechanism.

Averaged 56.6km on 4 litres of fuel:)
filled when reserve kicked in, and drove until reserve kicked in. Will get tank full today, since i've heard that prices are going up;/
Now, Total pump or Shell? the above average was from a Shell one so i am kinda confused which one to go for!!!

I have been experimenting on different driving techniques to see how my swift consumption is in diff cases.....first case gear ratios at 3k and avg was around 9-10km/l with speeds upto 90-100km/hr
2. Gear ratios at around 2.5k got avg of 12-13km/l speeds around 70-90km/hr
3. Gear ratios at around 1-1.7k and haven't gone above the ratios mentioned while driving to. Speed around 50-70km/hr ....avg unbelievably 15-16km/l .......
In the last test I also used AC ....and max hypermilling was done......now I can say at 24000kms I know the limits of my swift and what it can do....

Suzuki motors in I9 is best ....just normal check up and if u have noticed anything lose have them tighten it .

It's been two weeks since I javent checked my tyre pressure....but driving a swift and feeling all the power being produced from the M13a I think you will be capable of noticing at what time and ratio the car has enough power to change the gear and will be able to move forward in the next gear I even pick it up from 800 rpm in fourth gear without getting knocking sounds. It's all in the foot bro...just drive around more and see to what limits you can drive ..in the start some times the car would stall but I managed to overcome that..also don't floor it just floor it slowly....it will irritate you in the first 2 gears but once you pick up some speed u will be in motion....

standard Iridium ones got them installed at 20K from suzuki motors...

Anyone experienced that there is water coming inside on top of the metal near the door rubber seals after a car wash/rain?
And it comes on the trunk lid too!
