Bro, please tell me which iridium plugs u installed and what is their price and what is the difference in performance and pick. I am getting 14-16 Km/l with stock plugs in my swift.

hw cud it be??? swift can't do more den 12,13kmpl local. yes on highway it do 15,16kmpl. wid factory fitted plugz it can not do even 10kmpl. lets say complete tank is 43ltrz. ma swift wz duing jst nearly 380km in one tank. ye to 10kmpl b nahi banta tha. bt yes on highway.... once i went to lhr frm isb via gt road. da total distance is 380km. i covered da distance in just half of da tank. dat wz realy amazing. ye science muje b samajh nahi aee bt local it wz duing jst 10kmpl :'(. I did sum search n found a thread abt spark plugz. a guy "jz" wz helping regarding da matter. i asked him if he cud do anything. he said use NGK irridium n feel da difference. it will give yu better milage n performance etc. mera dil nahi mana bt one day half heartedly plugz dalwa he leye n nw surprisingly getting 12,13kmpl local. peace:x

ocean haz also mentioned in one of his posts dat he did 380km in 1 complete tank. same case wz mid me. aftr changing da oil, milage kafi better ho gae bt jb se irridium plugz use kr reha hu. milage kaaaaaafi better ho gae hai. acceleration, performance, milage espacially engine sound, everything... yu'll feel da difference. I assure yu. da factory fitted plugz ar available in da market for jst 350Rs. irridium plugz ar little xpensive. In f-10 markaz isb da price is round abt 3k bt yu may buy frm any wholesaller in rwp for 2600 Rs. beware of 2 nmbr plugs. purchaze frm sum reliable shop. peace:x

Bro, that is reality i have maintained the record of fuel consumption since start and the least mileage i have got is 11.6 Km/l so far.I have used it for 7 months now and driven 15000 Kms. I get the air filter cleaned every 2 weeks and put the air pressure as per recommended(33 front,30 rear for low load and 33 front, 36 rear on full load). Do the maintenance as per schedule.One thing i want to mention is that since u have new cars i think the average will improve after 5000 Kms, this was what i observed.

Another factor can be that i drive in faisalabad city where there is not much traffic congestion and stoppage at signals and where u drive there may be long signal stoppage.

@Xeo it's Lahore Askari-10, moved out of karachi, tried to update my location but it's not available or some other issue :-).

@ahc ; it would have done 380 with first fuel tank. on moterway i did 460 with 30 Litters of petrol as i mentioned earlier with 3--3.2 RMP maintained. now refuled again and lets see what i will get while driving @ Islamabad roads.

iridium plugs will make the difference coz they provide better spark for combustion, i have installed in my City Vario and i got 19KM/L avrage on hiways with RMP 2.9--3. but in city i was getting 7 or sum times 8 and thats really bad. hope it will give good effect on swift and if mine will be giving less then 12 or 13 i will opt for iridium plugs.

it's auto city, fuel eating machine lolz
same 7-8 in the city with normal plugs.
i have a bad habit of keeping car started @ idle with AC on that may be the cause of hig fuel consumption.

now trying to get rid of that habit.

I have done 480 KM on odo while driving @ Islamabad & Rawalpindi low fuel lite is blinking.

if it will be filled with 40 liters i will get 12 Km/L
if it get's filled with 38 Liters i am getting 12.63

in either case i am getting good millage while driving 50% @ Rawalpindi & 50% @ Islamabad for the last fuel tank.

will update later today after getting tank toped up.

im in karachi and i drive 100% inside the city with the AC on during 50% - 60% of the times. this means there is constant acceleration and braking due to traffic and signals.

i filled the tank to maximum the moment i took it out of showroom.
on my first ever refill back to maximum, i got an average of 13.2km/l
that is a pretty respectable mileage don't u think?

im hoping to increase it...since il be driving on signal free and traffic roads from monday onwards. also due to winter, AC usage will decrease.

lets see what i manage on my next refill!
