No no Kamran bhai....you should remain "pure tourist" helping "pure" tourists and travelers around. With social media a number of so called tour operators have mushroomed and camouflaged them as "pure" in the tourist community. When they have enough links....they start their business.

Please follow my plan below, you will easily visit two main lakes----Mahodhand and Kundol. Each lake has one day affair. I was with my family so acted restricted.If I were alone, i could have easily managed to reduce my expenses 60 percentage......If you see my 3 day plan alongwith notes, you will easily draw a journey plan of your liking for three days easily.Keep in mind that there is also a stay plan at Kundol point where there is a village at a few steps and even at Kundol lake by tents....All places you may visit through public vans...

how much time it takes from kalam to kundol trek starting point? And one other question... Wht do u think is better place to stay when someone going for the trek in kalam or matiltant as u mention in thread

I went into car till kundol point in 2 hrs at 10 to 20 km per hour and where from it takes nearly 2 hrs to reach Kundol lake; and return time is less than going (say 1 hr or 1 1/4 hr)...for trekking, guess yourself.....There are several places for trekking throughout swat ; but nowadays there are security concerns even though there is peace. Every where you will see various military check posts and you will be annoyed and sometimes they would take you along if you did not satisfy by replies....

This is the way to go....I value real tourists who do not mix pleasure with commercialism. Pm me your contact # if you wish and may be we can hop on public transport weekend trips. In the last 5 years I did only one trip on Niazi in Dec 2011 to kaghan.

You may reach Kundol point easily on public van or private vehicles from Kalam...2 hrs to reach Kundol point...It is safe to have tents at Mahodhand where there are lot of guys presently who stay at nights, have fun, catch trout fish, cook and sleep. There are good wash rooms and toilets made for guests residing there.However, i do not say for Kundol lake where there is one person who is providing a few tents for those who want to camp and stay there; as i did not see any body staying at night there.I saw a few women who fainted due to shortage of breath at that height. But you will get down from kundol lake mountainous path and at few steps from kundol point there is a small village where you can reside or stay at night.Village people are nice guys...BRO, SAFE TO STAY AT MAHODHAND..

I would suggest to also add Bayun Village in the list. There are many more good places in the region but they either require 4x4 or longer tracking to reach there. For example kharkhari lake, spin cod lake, desan meadows etc. The places mentioned by you are indeed are the ones which are easily accessible.
