Firstly if your car is less than 5 yrs old, make sure you are an active taxpayer. To be an active tax payer you need to file your IT returns for atleast 2 continuous years as far as i know otherwise heavy fees are waiting for you. Better hire an agent, he'll take 2-3k and do all your process, this is how i got my cars transfered. Always found this way easy compared to all khuwari that happens in ETO office. So no idea about actual transfer process if you want to do it yourself.
