Anyone can have their perspective according to them.. So yes im regular user of lm with small sump. Bigger sumps are normally 4.7-8L.
So you can use quartz. But lm is best. You can try it maybe you like there quality bro.

just to clarify, all the more common used oils here, quartz 9000 future, LM special tec, zic, honda/toyota oils, etc that are rated at API SN, all these are blended oils, group iii and (maybe) group iv (pao). General consensus is that a full synthetic oil means its a group iv pao oil.

In germany blended oils cannot be labeled as fully synthetic, thus people assume that total quartz,zic oil is better than LM because it says its fully synthetic on the bottle. Other regions dont have strict classifications. This is from total themselves, and i quote:

"QUARTZ 9000 FUTURE GF-5 5W-30 is listed as synthetic technology on our technical data sheet and as such will be a blend of PAO and Group III or 100% Group III. I don’t have access to further information than that as the detail is considered confidential information."

Dont know about mobil 1 if thats blended. Btw, LM special tec has updated to SN plus, total quartz 9000 amsoil also is the same.

May be, I give them a try, but first, the oil grade I may be using must be 100% Fully Synthetic (or synthetic, whatever), and with compatible oil filter. If oil lasts 8-10,000 Kms easily or may be even more, but oil filter doesn't last more than 5-6,000 Kms, then I think, there is less benefit in it. Oil and oil filter must be fully compatible as far as replacement / drain interval is concerned.

Bro my Nissan is 2.9L sump. I buy orginal filter for 900 and it runs for 9-10k safely on semi synthetic 5w30 lm. While my liana has vic filter and it is good too and i run molygen lm and remove it at 13k km safely. And alhamdulilah there's no problem whatsoever.

Baki u can use lm 5w40 fully synthetic purple bottle.

Yup. 5w-40 is available in Fully Synthetic, but as per my personal experience for 1 KR-FE and also as per owner's manual, it is not recommended. And I think the same will be true for 660 cc cars.

0w-20, or max. 5w-30, these are the only 2 oil grades recommended by Toyota (the OEM) for 1KR-FE. Any oil thicker than 5w-30 will affect fuel efficiency, performance and mileage.

I had used 5w-40 for once in my ex-ride, Passo. Engine had almost died; pick, fuel efficiency, etc. Everything almost lost, and it only returned when I switched back to recommended oil grade, and oil was the only culprit (nothing else was changed).

In my humble opinion, 0w-20, 5w-20 and max. 5w-30 are the oil grades for current used JDM cars, and any oil thicker than these & OEM recommended oil grades will severely jeopardize fuel efficiency and engine performance.

Yeah you're absolutely right. For 1kr or 660cc new technology engines you should use 0w20, 5w20

Dear I have already replied to you in the other thread. Kindly check:

W.S. IMO, you may continue using this grade. If not satisfied with Toyota brand, then you may change the brand, but do not change the grade. 5w-30 fully synthetic from Shell, Total, Kixx, Caltex / Havoline, etc. are Great, value to money oils. You may use any of these from next oil change. IMO, it does not matter, as far as engine oil grade is concerned. If your car's cat. Conv. is choked, then there is no harm in using it. Proficar Cat. Conv. Cleaner is another good option…

Personally, I am not in favour of Liqui Moly, or other imported, fancy and expensive brands.

I prefer brands which are locally available and in abundance; Shell, Total, Caltex / havoline, and even KIXX, ZIC, PSO, etc.
